At the end of this clip [8:25] from a show at Jabberjaw, Justin accidentally damages the neck pickup on his ET-270. In a second part of the show [https://youtu.be/hpPDRL3tRjg?t=471], he remarks "My guitar is falling apart... so am I."

In the early days of Unwound, before Sarah Lund joined as the drummer, Justin Trosper was photographed playing a Fender Telecaster.

In a live performance at the Big Ears Music Festival in Knoxville, TN, March 2024, as well as during his time with Survival Knife, Justin Trosper is seen using the Ampeg AMG100 as his main guitar. He owns both a red and a blonde version. This guitar appears to be a blend of his ET-270 and Electra Lucite guitars. This is likely why he prefers it recently (source: Erik Sugg, YouTube).

In this live recording, Justin is seen with what appears to be either a modified Fender Jazzmaster, or possibly a Jazzmaster partscaster. He uses it for all of the songs tuned to F#AEGAE, it seems to have replaced his blonde AMG-100 he was using for F#AEGAE tuning songs. This is also the first Fender guitar we've seen him with since before Fake Train.
