Leigh Stephens' Gear

Hide incorrect submissions

Leigh Stephens can be seen using this guitar throughout 1968 in his time with Blue Cheer, in photographs and in videos such as this one. The reason that this is most likely a 1968 model is because of its witch hat knobs, a feature only seen on SGs from mid-1967 and later, and also due to the fact that Stephens can only be seen with pre-CBS Stratocasters in 1967. His SG also features a batwing pickguard and darker cherry color, although there are examples from as early as 1966 that also have these features.
