The reason that this is most likely a 1968 model is because of its witch hat knobs, a feature only seen on SGs from mid-1967 and later, and also due to the fact that Stephens can only be seen with pre-CBS Stratocasters in 1967. His SG also features a batwing pickguard and darker cherry color, although there are examples from as early as 1966 that also have these features.
