Mark King Level 42's Gear
After sitting down with Mark and discussing the options we decided to go for a more radical departure. The KingBass Mk-II is the result.
The overall look and feel is obviously a continuation of the original headless KingBass models but one major changes include a more "old school" look of the headed neck.
Combined with the Status 'J' style pickups and slightly larger body shape the overall result is a stunning new bass that Mark described as " ... the best bass Status ever made".
Mark King shows and plays through his pedalboard, including the TC Electronic Vortex flanger.
"I have been using the Status Graphite King Basses for the last ten years or so, and have enjoyed helping Rob Green in developing them. The latest model is the 'Paramatrix', which features a fantastically versatile parametric eq, coupled with four single pole pickups which can be configured in any combination, so at the flick of a switch you can change your sound, it's brill!"
Used from 2019 onwards in live gigs. Multiple videos on YouTube show him using the new T-Bass.

"my pedalboard, which changes quite regularly as I come across some other new bit of kit. It is largely TC, though. I currently have a TC Corona chorus, Hall of Fame reverb, Flashback Delay and looper, Dark Matter overdrive, Helix phaser, ElectroHarmonix POG2, Radial Design Big Shot ABY amp switcher, Line 6 Relay G50 wireless system going into a TC Electronic Blacksmith 1600w head, and two 4×10 cabs."
