In this post matt shows off his new epiphone signature model. This is an updated version of his original signature les paul custom. It features his signature fishman pickups. The guitar comes in either black or white finish, with evertune or standard bridge options. The guitar is loosely based on the les Paul custom he got at 12 which was on almost every trivium recording
The black Gibson Les Paul Custom that was gifted to Matt Heafy by his father, which he used extensively on tour and to record all of Trivium's records until his endorsement with Epiphone. His Epiphone signature model is based on this guitar.

Matt Heafy also uses 7 string Explorers as his main 7-string guitars of choice live before his endorsement with Epiphone.
At 0:22 in this video about Matt Heafy's signature Dean guitar, he starts talking about the creation of this Dean Guitars manufactured signature series guitar. It is based on the Dead Guitar ML guitar, and he says "So I decided to take something I love, the ML, and basically hot rod it and customize it to my specs." Some of those specs include 24 frets, a carved away neck for maximum playability, one master volume knob, and an input jack on the side.
He used it extensively live during his period with Dean guitars during the late 2000's and during instructional videos during the same era.

Matt Heafy used the Epiphone 7-String Flying V during a few performances in the Shogun era, following a transition from Dean guitars. This was a temporary solution until he acquired the Gibson 7-String Explorer he later favored.
He uses the 7 string version of his signature Epiphone Les Paul Custom in the video and shows.
Matt ordered it when he got his endorsement from Dean, and used it to record Shogun as well as using it on the Shogun tour.

In a video titled "Matthew Kiichichaos Heafy I Trivium I Guitar Collection 2020," Matt Heafy showcases his ESP LTD KH-602 Kirk Hammett Signature Series Guitar. This guitar was gifted to him by a fan and later signed by all the members of Metallica during a festival where Trivium performed alongside them.
In his 2020 guitar collection video, Matt Heafy showcases a Yamaha CG101A, a gift from Paulo's uncle during a tour stay.
