You can see Matt play this Bass at 3:20. If you look closely you see the truss rod looking out at the headstock, alos you can see the frettboard binding and block inlays. At 2:38 is the back of his Bass visible. There are no string holes, so it has to be a topload bridge. Im not quite sure which series this Bass belongs to. EIther "Classic Series" or "Vintera", but definitely a 70s Jazz Bass.
If you slow the video down you can see the "x 6", on the back of the synth, in the last few seconds.
In the music video for "Surrender" by Angels and Airwaves, Matt Wachter is seen playing a customized Squier Precision Bass. This bass features a unique design and black hardware, with only the chrome knobs replaced with black ones. The video provides a clear view of the bass at the 9:59 mark, where Tom also comments on it. Wachter used this bass exclusively for this video.
Matt Wachter played a G&L L2000 Bass during his time with 30 Seconds to Mars, as shown in a user-uploaded photo. He later sold the bass upon joining Angels & Airwaves.
