Osvaldo Civile's Gear
Osvaldo Civile was frequently photographed with a black Flying V guitar during his time with Horcas, although the manufacturer of this particular replica is unknown. Civile often obscured the guitar's headstock with a metal sheet, and in the rare images where it is visible, no logos or inscriptions are discernible. Additionally, he owned a red Flying V replica crafted by luthier Suarez, though he was seldom seen playing it.
In the attached photo, Osvaldo Civile is seen playing a red guitar, which appears to be either a Charvel Model 4 or an Ibanez RS530. This is one of the rare images capturing him with this particular instrument, and the exact model remains uncertain.
Civile was known to play a white RR1 duplicate apparently manufactured by a luthier surnamed Suarez. This guitar was referred to as "Cola de tiburón" (Shark's tail).
Some other sources claim this guitar was manufactured by Charvel, but it's uncertain.
Civile could be seen in many different magazine and live photos playing his Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst. He used it during his years in V8 and Horcas.
Osvaldo could also been seen in many occasions playing an original Gibson Explorer which he mostly used in his time with Horcas. Many photos of him playing the guitar both live and in the studio can be found in many different magazines of the 80s and 90s.
Civile sold this guitar around '98/'99, shortly before his death. He used a Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8 pickup on this guitar.
In some photos, Osvaldo can be seen playing this Gibson EDS-1275 Double Neck. He used it in his time with Horcas.
Osvaldo Civile was known for using a Marshall JCM800 2203, as evidenced by a user-uploaded photo.
Osvaldo used a The Guv'nor pedal, as it can be seen in the attached photo, one of the few in which his pedals can be seen.
Osvaldo Civile is reported to have used a Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8 pickup in his black Explorer, according to the individual who purchased the guitar.
