Rolf Kasparek has frequently used the Gibson Explorer Electric Guitar throughout his career, as evidenced by images available on Google.

According to Rolf, his first "real" guitar was a 1976 Gibson Explorer he purchased in 1978. It has been his most extensively used guitar with Running Wild for both recording and playing live. He would go on to make numerous customizations to this Explorer over the years including a sticker of the band's logo (seen in the highlighted image), a reflective golden pickguard around The Brotherhood's release, and most recently some rather piratical looking riveted metallic gold plating. Additionally, as seen in the image linked below, the original pickups have been changed out at least once since he got the guitar, although the specific pickup models have never been divulged.

Rolf has been using an ENGL Savage Special Edition since at least 2012 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brBXCEV9Tfk) as his primary recording and live amp.

According to producer Karl Bauerfeind, a Mesa Boogie Mark IV was used by Rolf for all of the rhythm guitar tracks on Black Hand Inn.

Rolf has used a white Gibson Flying V on a few occasions, most notably during the performance featured around 2:56 in the "Conquistadores" music video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RhJ2hBNerc).

Rolf mentions having used a Fender Strat to record the guitar solos on several recent songs from the Crossing the Blades EP and Blood on Blood.

Rolf "Rock N' Rolf" Kasparek recorded the guitar solo on a Fender Stratocaster — instead of his tried and tested Gibson Explorer — to do justice to the track's rocking flair.

Rolf has mentioned using a Fender Telecaster to record the clean sections for a few songs on Blood on Blood.

The undistorted parts [were cut] with a Fender American Standard Telecaster.
