Stu Mackenzie's Keyboards and Synthesizers
Yamaha SX60 aka Devils Head. Made for two years only, the SX60 is a lightweight solidbody electric guitar with double cutaways and two single coil pickups.
Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is credited with using the Mellotron M400 on their album "Murder Of The Universe," as listed on Discogs.
During the drum roll at the beginning you can see the front of Stu's Keyboard. It says, "DX7". You may be able to see it in other parts.
In the video linked, you can clearly see the back of Stu's Vocoder at 1:00 . Even though all the logotypes and model names are taped (they often censor all the keys brand names, they even have a nord electro with all the red parts taped over). You can see the ports are identical, with the microfone port being the dead giveaway. The wood panels at the sides of the keyboard are the exact shape too. At 2:30 in the "Vegemite" music video you can clearly see Stu rocking the Electone A-45
At 1:15 in the muckraker music video you can see a black moog etherwave theremin
You can see it during the drumroll at the start of the video.
In this video of King Gizz preforming 'This Thing' Live https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=126&v=i2jDh67P7a8&feature=emb_logo at 2:06 you can see Stu playing a Nord Electro 6D 61
This Instagram post was made not long ago and features a picture of Stu and Cavs in their current studio setup, presumably for whatever synth based stuff they're working on right now. The caption of this post is quite the anagram, writing "Poly Dog 61:Ambrose Kenny-Synth: Stuno-106: Moogas: : JoeTools: WAVs*". However, with the knowledge that the band member's various nicknames/aliases have simply been fused with the synths they've been playing, it makes working out a lot of the details easier; for example, "Poly Dog 61" refers to Cook Craig's Korg Poly 61, while "Moogas" refers to Lucas Harwood's Moog Grandmother. "Stuno-106", like the others, is in reference to Stu's usage of a Roland Juno-106.
In an Instagram post by user "kinggizzard," the Moog Little Phatty is visible in the left front of the picture. The caption references "Moogas," indicating the presence of the Moog synthesizer. This particular model appears to be a special edition with a white back panel, confirming Stu Mackenzie’s use of this gear.
In this collection of images from King Gizzard's instagram, you can see Stu attending to his keyboard stack with an SK-5 on the second level of the keyboard stand.
Stu can be seen using this synth as his main board for the last US and Europe tour. It seems as they purchased two for replacing the previous Nord Electro 6D Stu and Cookie used on stage, probably due to better/easier live manipulation on the synth patches. In the source video both Juno X's can be clearly seen.
In this video you can see Mackenzie playing a Roland keytar
