Vince Melouney

In the Beat Club promotional shoot for World, Vince Maloney, seen in the middle, is holding and playing a Gibson SG. The year on that SG might just be a 64' or a 65' as it still has the lower pickguard, but it does not acquire the vibrato. Vince would use this guitar in the studio and a few TV performances with the Bee Gees, until his departure. It is unclear whether or not Vince still uses the SG, or whether or not he used after the Bee Gees.

In a few close-up shots in the Idea promotional video, Vince is seen playing his Epiphone Sheraton, finished in Tobacco Burst. The guitar looked similar to an Epiphone Riviera, with the slanted tailpiece, and more. Vince would use this guitar in other live and TV performances with the Bee Gees, and this guitar would be considered as his main electric guitar.

In their appearance and performance of Words on the Ed Sullivan show, a zoom out in the intro shows Vince using a Gibson Les Paul in a burst finish. During his time in the Bee Gees, the Gibson may only have its appearance in the Ed Sullivan Show. But after his time with the Bee Gees, the Les Paul can be seen in recent promotional shoots of Vince and it may have been used in his performances and recordings after the Bee Gees.

During Vince's time in The Aztecs, he is occasionally seen playing a Burns London guitar. Burns' design was very unique for its time, with the futuristic and sleek design, along with the multiple switches and buttons on the pickguard. Vince is seen playing this Burns guitar on the Aztecs' performance of Poison Ivy.

In a user-uploaded photo, Vince Melouney is seen playing a white Fender Telecaster during a TV performance in Germany. This guitar also features in a televised performance of "New York Mining Disaster." Its appearances on TV are rare, and it's unclear if Vince still uses this Telecaster today.

It is a fact that the Rickenbacker 4001 does not belong to Vince, but in this rare picture, he is seen playing Maurice's Rickenbacker 4001 bass. This switching of instruments may just be possible when Maurice moves to the piano for some songs.

In a Beat Club performance of "Massachusetts," Vince Melouney is seen playing a Hammond B-3 organ. While the organ wasn't his, and it’s unclear if he played it on the recording, this live performance featured him on the instrument. His future involvement with keyboards or piano remains uncertain.
