Wolfgang Gartner's Keyboards and Synthesizers
"I have a lot of hardware, but most of that stuff I don’t use any more. The only hardware I really use is the Poly Evolver, but most of the other stuff gets done in Ableton with 3rd party plug-ins."
This is from a 2012 interview on The DJ List. Originally found here.
In this Instagram story video clip posted by Wolfgang Gartner, he can be seen playing some chords on his Roland Juno-106.
At :40 into this video, wolfgang gartner gives a studio tour, he says:
"... got the Juno-106 over here under the black light, it's kind of a must-have. Classic analog synth in any studio. I think I've had that thing since I was 14 years old."
The Alesis A6 Andromeda synth can be seen in Wolfgang Gartner's home studio in this Instagram photo. He says, "realized I only ever used this for like 3 sounds since I've bought it. time to tweak out."
From a March 2008 interview on Beatport. Wolfgang is asked, "What do you feel are the strengths of each synth in your arsenal?"
He replies: "The Little Phatty is by far my favorite.
I wanted the Voyager but the only one they had at Guitar Center that day was the LP and I was in buy-it-now mode, so this is what I got! (laughs)
The sound that comes out of this thing is so unbelievably thick and fat.
The bass pierces through the mix and sits right out in front.
It is a very basic synth in essence, with not a lot of capabilities, but I think that’s one reason I like it.
It’s a synth you can just turn on and start playing and it sounds good right off the bat."

"The Dave Smith Poly Evolver and the Moog Voyager are my favorite bits of analog for sure. And I have a lot of other analog gear. The Voyager is not incredibly versatile in signal flow or modulation but the sound is fatter than any other synthesizer ever made, and I don't think that point is debated much. "
In answer to, "What are your favourite bits of kit in your studio and why?" From an interview with Wolfgang Gartner on FXpansion.
"The ARP Odyssey, which is a classic kinda rare synth now at this point." at 0:33 in this video.
