Perfect For Me

Can get pumping, over the top compression, subtle volume automation, and a nice natural overdrive in a very small package. I will never need another compressor.

Sounds good, built poorly

Some really useable (and really unusable but fun) sounds in this box, only thing holding it back is the dodgy construction (power jack sometimes cuts in and out, 1/4 inch ins and outs look fragile).

All your distortions are belong to us!

Allows me (a bassist) to use any dirt box I like. No more do I have to buy the more expensive "bass" pedal that just has a blend added to the circuit. Clean, solid low end on demand is a dream.

Fantastic

Amazing distortion! Use it on bass in the studio all the time. Can't fit it on my board though!

Loud, doesn't sound great

This amp is very loud and works well as a rehearsal amp, but it has a very flat response. And unfortunately not in the same way going straight DI does. It just sounds bad when I play through it, no matter what settings I use.

Excellent tracking

I prefer my OC-2 for 100% octave tone, but if you're running a dry/oct split, it sounds almost as good and tracks much better (down to F#!) I also like the range toggle.

Ignore the Distortion

It's Line 6. You know Line 6 distortion is utterly useless, just ignore it. Incredible reverb, delay, and modulation sounds!

Decent

Pretty light, decently loud, and seems well constructed, but I'm having a hard time finding a sound I consistently like.

Very good

super chunky, almost monophonic fuzz. love it. called the Pumpkin Pi for a reason. only complaint is it's a very harsh switch.

Good for the money

The presets are a good idea. I wish the repeats were slightly brighter, even with the COPY setting on, it sounds rather analog. Also the time knob doesn't do the glitchy crazy noises, which I was really looking forward to.

Volume Cut

This pedal does a lot of sounds, but unfortunately there is a significant volume cut when it is activated.

Heavy

Everything about this bass is perfect except for how heavy it is. It kills my back and I'm not very old.

Deceiving

This was my first bass, and it looks like a first bass. I don't know if it was just how much care and effort I put into it, but this bass is incredible. The neck is perfect (any other bass I play feels strange now), it is light, and it actually sounds rather decent. If there was one drawback it would be the hardware, which is not awesome. My personal bass looks nothing like this stock photo anymore, but I highly recommend these instruments.

Not a Bass pedal

My rating should only be seen as it's relevance to bass. My guitarist says he loves this pedal but when I use it it sucks all the low end out of my tone.

Iw as about to make a really detailed response about how compression works in general and also how most guitar and bass comp pedals are designed but instead I'llpoint out that there are ltos of good bass comp epdals on the market (including oen from mxr) that are designed to alleviate the low end suck of heavy handed compression on bass isntruments... on top of that a guitar comp will probably have a small input cap compared with a abss comp and those iput capacitors form a basic highpass. its reducing frequencies that aren't msucial coming off a guitar pickup but those are often your fundamental on bass so you need less input filtering.... that's the difference between specific bass distortion effects and the regular guitar ones usually too. 1 part! A bass compressor will probably have some interesting filtering in the detector circuit too, what ew call a sidechain, probably something you've ehard of if you know any EDM/DJ?producer wannabe types ;-)

I know, I have a proper compressor for my bass, just saying this one doesn't work the way I wanted it to. I'm sure it's great :)

Favorite Pedal Ever.

Everyone uses it for a reason. I can get great sub tones as well as gritty dry/oct splits. Love it.

surprising!

My first guitar many many years ago. Despite the poor quality materials and low price it is very comfortable to play and with the right strings doesn't sound half bad.

too loud

Some of the sounds on here are very cool, and I would love to use them, but it is WAYYY too loud when you turn it on.
