This synth is (in my opinion) the best way you can introduce yourself to synthesizers without going out and spending exuberant amounts of money. My one major complaint is that it's not the most user-friendly when it comes to making your own patches. It is very much a preset machine. I'm sure there are some people who are perfectly fine with that, and that definitely lends itself well to a live setting, but I personally would prefer a synthesizer that's more dedicated to making your own patches. However, that does not change the fact that this is a well-built and fantastic sounding synth.

This was the first pedal I ever bought, & it's still on my pedalboard despite having many more expensive distortions on there. I also bout a used DS-1 for my best friend who plays both guitar and bass. He adores it just as much as I do.

This pedal's so great I bought a new one after a stepped on my old one a little too hard. Worth all the praise it gets, but if you're going to get one, either put it further to the top of your board or use some reserve when stomping on it.

Incredibly versatile! It's the pedal that showed me that sometimes it's better to have more than just a level, a tone, and a gain on your fuzz box!

I haven't quite gotten the hang of how to use it in my own music yet, but it's sturdy and it sounds wonderful. I absolutely adore being able to switch between a polyphonic sound and the glitchy monophony that this pedal's precursors had.

I have a thing for Fenders that are juuuuust outside of normality, and this fits that to a T. It's extremely versatile and comfortable. I think the TBX tone pot is very fun, and the three-way coil splitting on the bridge pickup is always utilized! If I can ever afford it I'm going to have a collection of these in every color I can find. I currently have a transparent red. If you're looking for a great telecaster, this should not go under your radar!

It's almost a crime that these guitars aren't better known. It gives off the kind of indie vibe that you'd think guys like Isaac Brock would fall over for, and the pickups (especially the neck) have this kind of swampy, John Fogerty-esq quality to them that is incredibly distinct without being overbearing. If I hear this guitar being played, I know that it is this guitar! My favorite part of the guitar is the flat tone selector switch that, while it doesn't contribute to the sound at all, perfectly sums up the vibe this guitar puts out. It is vintage in every sense of the word, and I love it!

I inherited my Grandpa's D-18 from the '70s and it sounds beautiful. My biggest problem with it is that it's so precious to me that I don't think I'm comfortable taking it out to shows. That's a real bummer, because the sound is unparalleled.
