The workflow in Ableton Live is unmatched. Almost everything is on screen, or a single click away in a pop-up menu. All of the included effects are great, and I've found few plug-ins that are just as good or better.

While FM8 can be a very confusing and difficult synth at first, it is just as rewarding when you get the hang of it.

It's a few of the best compressors on the market in one plug-in with one user interface.

Izotope Trash 2 is a somewhat unique mult-fx, multiband distortion and compression plug-in. It can add very subtle and warm saturation, or hard and aggressive distortion, so it works well with sound design, mixing and mastering. Trash 2 has sadly been discontinued recently, but Izotope have teased a newer version.

They're easy to work with, visually pleasing and they sound great. The FabFilter Total Bundle is the only bundle of plug-ins you'll ever need.

Definitely one of my favorite compressors, but I have two issues with it. Certain design choices like dual mono made sense on the original hardware unit, but in a virtual emulation, you can use as many instances as you want. Also the controls are way to close together, it probably works on the hardware unit, but in the software version, it quickly becomes cluttered and confusing. If you are able to ignore this, it's a really good bus and master compressor.
