Create your EquipboardGuitars 2
I bought this because I primarily play acoustic guitar and I enjoy the feeling of hollow bodies. I was not disappointed as this guitar is amazingly versatile with it's pickup configuration. One thing that I would make sure one is aware of before purchasing this guitar is the fact that it can be very twangy. This guitar does not offer the same tone as a Gibson hollow body and I would not recommend this guitar for jazz.
Amplifiers 2
It is a very good clean amp and I would recommend it for jazz and acoustic guitar
This amp is simply amazing especially for the price, it offers a great tube amp sound and the internal effects are pretty good as well. It's small and compact but offers higher volume when needed. I would highly recommend this amplifier.
Studio Equipment 1
I have produced music with this for several years now and I would highly recommend that any independent musician own a dp-32 or one of its counterparts. As with any recording equipment (digital or physical) there is a learning curve when using it but with enough practice this machine has the ability to produce highly professional recordings. It has internal digital compression and internal digital effects that work very well, thus cutting out the need for a lot of expensive external equipment and the sd card system works great for transporting WAV files to a computer for release. All around this is a great product for any independent musician looking to produce music from a physical recording system rather than a computer program.
Drum Sets 1
I bought mine used for an extreme discount, the kit was also modified. Nonetheless I love this kit and it is great when drums are your second instrument as I primarily play guitar and piano.
Microphones 3
Cymbals 2
I wanted a larger ride cymbal and I found the rivet model on sale so I bought it. The cymbal offers a brighter tone that is less aggressive than a crash ride or a 20 inch ride cymbal. It is primarily marketed as a jazz cymbal but It is also great for an indie drum sound as I have used it on multiple non jazz recordings.
I bought a used drum set and this cymbal was included. It is a very solid cymbal and great for many genres of music, and I would recommend buying an older one used to save money.
Effects Pedals 3
I usually use more clean tones and chorus and when it came to buying an overdrive pedal I wanted something cheap and compact that was still reliable. I found that the ODR mini offers exactly that with it's small build and great sound, as it offered a lot of the mellow overdrive that I was looking for.
This pedal offers everything you need and more as it has so many different features and sounds that anyone would be pleased.
Other Gear 2
These work great for that bright sharp cymbal tone associated with jazz, They are rather thin and may take some getting used to if your used to something like a 2B or even a 5A.
