Looks good, and is amazing value 32 tracks for a budget price.

It is certainly harder to use than I thought it would be. The manual is lacking in depth and the tutorials up until a few months ago were totally inadequate. I have to shake it down further to really evaluate it thoroughly. It's also a space consideration for me but, time will tell. Thanks for this forum.

Great for independent home recording

I have produced music with this for several years now and I would highly recommend that any independent musician own a dp-32 or one of its counterparts. As with any recording equipment (digital or physical) there is a learning curve when using it but with enough practice this machine has the ability to produce highly professional recordings. It has internal digital compression and internal digital effects that work very well, thus cutting out the need for a lot of expensive external equipment and the sd card system works great for transporting WAV files to a computer for release. All around this is a great product for any independent musician looking to produce music from a physical recording system rather than a computer program.

rather brilliant piece of gear to work with

took me a very long time, like multiple years, to figure out how to get a reverb on there but this is really good if you actually know what music is. recording and editing are smooth and fast, and i work super quickly on this thing nowadays despite having used it improperly in the past. love the mixdown too.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

quarter inch jacks on A and B for synths and stereo effects, both of my XLR mics on C and D, two more matching quarter inch jacks on E and F for recording in mono or stereo, G and H i use for whatever

Twenty four tracks is quite enough for the home recorder, however with an eye to the future recording myself and others simultaneously must be considered. And I know the 32 track version doubles as a mixing board for live applications. Oh well consider that for most home recorders 24 is adequate ... the price makes it available to the masses.
