I found this guitar in a pawn shop and loved the price so I purchased it. The trem is great and felt ok. I like the HSH pickup setup but the stock single coil is a little weak sounding to me. very easy to adjust the tremolo with the slot in the backside.
Very good guitar for the price. It has an onboard tuner which is very cool for live purposes. The neck is thinner than most usual acoustic guitars. It also fits in electric guitar gig bags. The acoustic sound is decent but could be better but the electric sound with the preamp is pretty good.
I found this guitar in a music shop in my city. I did a little research (credit tohttp://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/RG3EX1) and found out this guitar was sold exclusively through Guitar Center and discontinued after 3 years. Its just the Ibanez RG3EXFM1 with a quilted maple finish instead of the flame maple finish. It has EMG Designed pickups, 3-piece Wizard II neck, basswood body, and 24 jumbo frets with sharktooth inlays. I use this guitar as a kind of low tuning baritone type guitar and its great.
I own a RG8 with EMG 808s and its an amazing instrument. The neck is very playable. Its not as heavy I expected. Great starter guitar for those wanting to branch out into 8 strings.

I purchased this amp because a friend of mine said it would be great for clarity in the low end gain for my 8 string guitar and he was correct. This is one of the best amps for 8 or 9 string guitars in my opinion. The boost is a great feature and it has a very nice overall look with the lighting inside it.
