Known for their groundbreaking fusion of psychedelic rock and hard rock, Iron Butterfly's lineup has seen various changes, but the most iconic roster included Doug Ingle (vocals, keyboards), Erik Brann (guitar), Lee Dorman (bass), and Ron Bushy (drums). Their music is characterized by heavy, distorted riffs and extended instrumental passages, as epitomized in their legendary track "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," which is often credited as a foundational influence on the early heavy metal movement.
