Novo Guitars is a boutique electric guitar maker based in Nashville, Tennessee, founded by designer and luthier Dennis Fano. Fano launched Novo after his earlier work with Fano Guitars, wanting to start over with all-original designs in a small shop-and-showroom setting. The brand's instruments draw on mid-century American guitar DNA — echoes of Gibson, Fender, Silvertone, Kay, and Rickenbacker — reworked into offset and semi-hollow shapes that aim for a played-in, acoustically lively feel right out of the case.

The lineup is anchored by several model families. The Serus comes in J, S, T, and TC variants covering different body, pickup, and bridge configurations, with the Serus J serving as the offset-style flagship. The Miris expands the range with semi-hollow construction and Jazzmaster-meets-Rickenbacker proportions, while the Solus offers a more traditional single-cut silhouette. Novo also produces Nucleus models, dealer-exclusive limited runs, and custom builds. Tempered pine and other resonant, often lightweight tonewoods figure prominently in the construction.

Production is small-batch and hand-finished in Nashville, and the guitars have found their way into the hands of players including Nels Cline of Wilco, Joey Landreth of The Bros. Landreth, Steven Page formerly of Barenaked Ladies, Scott Sharrard, and Owen Barry.
