Singular Sound is a Miami, Florida-based music technology company founded by David Packouz, a musician and inventor who created the BeatBuddy after wanting a drum machine he could control with his feet while playing guitar. A 2014 crowdfunding campaign for the BeatBuddy raised over $350,000, setting a record for a musical product at the time. The company has since grown into a recognized name in the pedal-format music tool space.

The flagship BeatBuddy is a drum machine built into a guitar pedal enclosure, allowing musicians to trigger realistic, 24-bit drum beats, fills, transitions, and accent hits entirely by foot. All sounds are recorded from real drummers on real drum kits rather than synthesized. The lineup includes the full-sized BeatBuddy 2 with an expanded screen and Autopilot song automation, the compact BeatBuddy Mini 2, and the limited-run BeatBuddy 10th Anniversary Edition. Beyond drum machines, Singular Sound makes the Aeros Loop Studio looper pedal, the MIDI Maestro MIDI foot controller, the SuperSwitch, the Cabli cable management system, and The Talent Knob volume controller.

Singular Sound's products are particularly popular among solo performers and singer-songwriters who need hands-free rhythm accompaniment during live performance. The BeatBuddy Mini has been adopted into the music programs at Berklee College of Music and the Frost School of Music.
