Advice for beginner on first electric guitar
Okay, two things:
First, this might make your decision a bit harder but it gives you a few more options, I use this website called Sweetwater, I use it when im lookin' at new gear, and it's got some pretty afordable Guitars & Basses, so if I might suggest that as I think you may be interisted in that.
Here's their Electrics, use the price-range-selecter-thingy on the side.
And I also thought I'd suggest a few:
I personally own #4 and I think it's a great Instrument

I was looking at W.A.S.P.'s Members page and noticed that a page for Vocalist/Bassist/Guitarist Blackie Lawless wasn't there and I didn't see a way to add a page, so I was wondering what GearIQ it takes to add an artist or if it was only an Admin type of thing.

Not to add more to your To-Do-List, but you could try Inlaying AND Gluing/Epoxying, I'd imagine that to look pretty cool on a Telecaster or something with a Slab-Style Body.
Also: Maybe instead of Mirrors you could try Chrome it wouldn't break if you play too hard and if to have it shiny enough it'd be like a Mirror. And maybe try a Chrome/Mirror Pickguard-Thing or cut the pieces into diamonds instead of circles.

I was looking at some DiMarzios today and saw that some of the models were "F-Spaced Only", This made me wonder just what is "F-Spacing"?
If someone could give me some info on what "F-Spacing" is I'd be very grateful.

Question about Frank Zappa's Performance strat
I don't know, alot of artists disconnected the middle pickup.
And yeah, he got a little uncreative and monotonous later, but we're talking about Frank not Yngwie here.

I think Yngwie disconnected the middle pickup aswell.

Bassists - Thoughts on Eden Amplification
Looking these up the price is a little flingy, I'd say that $450 is a good middle.
Also: Where the heck did you get a 3x10 Bass Cab?

Didn't Yngwie Malmsteen use HS-3s?

Which Stratocaster is the Best?
Yeah, I also plan to get a Duff McKagen Fender Jazz Special/P-Bass with a treble boost pot, I might install a Kill-Pot if I like it.

Worst guitarists in Rock and Metal.
I find it hard to cirticize most Guitarists as they're all solid to an extent, I mean Kurt Cobain was a little too basic but he was still good, I consider Yngwie Malmsteen one of the best Shred Guitarists ever but he got a little monotonous and uncreative after his third album, and Kirk Hammet and the WAH... but they were all great Guitarists.

Not only men, just unfortunately men. Rock/Metal needs more good female artists.
Though personally I prefer listening to male artists otherwise I feel like a weirdo.

Which Stratocaster is the Best?
The New Squier Paranormal series is out with a model called the "Cyclone", it has single-coils like a Strat in a Mustang Body with Jaguar Pickup switches.
Edit: The Strat might be better though only because it has Tone Controls.
Interesting Fact: The Cyclone actually has two Volume Controls instead of one Volume one Tone.

Worst guitarists in Rock and Metal.
I would probably have to say Kurt Cobain (Aspite the fact that I like him and his music) However it's too easy to choose a Punk/Grunge Guitarist because they're so basic (e.g. The Legandary "One Note Solo").
I Can't decide.

Jim Morrison, Peter Steele, James Hetfield, Lemmy and Maybe Kurt Cobain.

Any clues as to what this Guitar is?
It looks like a Singlecut PRS 7-String Hollowbody with Dot Inlays and some sort of exotic Top.

Lately I've been trying to figure out what Felix Pappalardi used for his bass rig.
Felix Pappalardi was the Bassist for the hard rock band Mountain from '69-'72 and again from '73-'74, he had to retire though due to partial deafness.
I know that he used Gibson EB-0 and EB-1 Basses but aside from that I know nothing.
I'd like to know anything like Amps, Basses, Settings, Strings, etc. (Specifically on the song "Nantucket Sleighride" from their live album "The Road Goes Ever On".
Also: I have a theory that he used some sort of Alternative Tuning and/or Strings on his Bass.
Thank you in advance.

I have five rather large questions in referince to the link below:
Is this a picture of Kirk Hammet with a Fender Jazz Special?
Is that Slash in the background?
If so is that Duff McKagan's Jazz Special?
If that is Slash what is he playing?
And is this image even allowed on Equipboard?

Whats your keeper guitar/bass?
If I had to keep one of my guitars and one of my basses it would be my '67 Rickenbacker 4005 Mapleglo Bass and my Black '90 or '91 Guild Nightbird Standard Guitar. I love them both dearly, I play them all the time and they sound perfect.
I love my Rickenbacker because it was the very first bass I ever got and it sounds great! The pickups are as far apart as possibe so I get a deep growl from right against the neck and the bridge give the bass this 'drive' when i flick the switch and it sounds great.
And I love my Nightbird because its ultra-rare with only 20 made in 1990 and 1991, its got some kind of DiMarzio Humbuckers in it and the sound exellent, I like how simple it is to with one volume and one tone I can still get any sound I want.

Getting rid of or simplifying control on a bass/guitar
Other artists do this to, I know Yngwie Malmsteen would take the volume pot out of his Strat and Jerry Only has no controls in his custom bass.
Edit: Eddie Van Halen also removed the volume control on his custom guitars like The '78, The Bumblebee and the Frankenstrat.

What string gauges does everyone use?
I play bass so I really don't seem to fit in here... But I do around 56-11 on guitar and anything from 90-45 to 175-85 on bass.
Edit: I usually run Rotosounds on my basses and Ernie Balls and my guitars.

Ok. The Headstock looks like a Höfner Violin Bass, the Tailpiece looks like a Epiphone Viola Bass (also Violin), and the body and bridge looks like a Ibanez Artcore AFB200 Hollowbody Bass with two sharper Cutaways... I have no idea.

Anyone knows where to find this Slash's Living The Dream Tour Red/Black Guitar?
It looks like Slash's signature Gibson Les Paul Standard in Vermillion Burst.
