Excellent

Execllent plugin! I use it to add a bit of noise and a tiny bit of delay, just to give my tracks an extra touch. Well worth to wait for the plugin to be on sale again, as most plugins from Waves are on sale on a regular basis.

Why would you want to add tape hiss to your tracks? For most of the 90s we were all saving up for digital recorders so we could get the hiss out of our home recordings. There are lots of cool things about tape, but the signal-to-noise ratio is not one of them.

Execllent

Purchased at www.tonecontrol.nl. Excellent controller, fully adjustable mapping. In use as a control for playing remix decks in Traktor.

Top notch for at home

Excellent players I bought at www.tonecontrol.nl! I play with USB or linked players, so no need for CD's for me. The options and under the hood performance is not at the level of the club-standard CDJ2000's, but to my humble opinion those are way too expensive to be in a set-up at home. These XDJ-1000's are more than sufficient for that set-up. To me they are the best choice and give the best value for money.

Basic and free

Free plugin, but don't use it too much. Mostly use the standard DAW filter.

Bought as upgrade for my Maschine Mk1

I bought this as an upgrade for my Maschine Mk1. Gives all the features and advantages of the Mk2, but also includes a lot of the additional plug-ins of Native Instruments. A whole new world opens for the use of my Maschine Mk1.

I am interested in this VSTi, but I'm not sure what its engine is all about and have always hedged away (I don't create that much entirely electronic music, and for adding synths to songs with live performance I gravitate to hardware usually). I wish your review went into more detail :-(

1 paragraph reviews that assume everyone has used a piece of gear make me sad... they also bum out my toddler because he doesn't know what any of this stuff does and would like you to tell me so I can explain it to him while I let him create sonic chaos with my gear. Okay, he doesn't really care how it all works yet, but one day....

I just purchased this update, about two weeks ago. So I haven't seen all the options yet. On top of that, I have bought it as an update. Basis for me is the Maschine Mk1. Now it includes not only the (Maschine version of) Massive plugin, but also a drum synth. More of that can be found on NI's website. Hands on and practical experiences I have to gain myself still. ;)

So I can write more than 1 paragraph about it, as you can see. But I still need to explore the options and certain specifics myself.

Solid

Solid piece of gear. Doesn't give you the complete intuitive workflow like the push, but there are many options to incorporate the Maschine in your productions. That is either stand alone, or as a VST in your DAW. I prefer to use the latter and it does the trick each and every time. Great piece of gear, but not sure which one to choose if you have to pick between Push and Maschine. Luckily I have both and don't have to choose ;)

Great

Excellent piece of drum and rhythm machine. Use it in nearly all my productions. Combining the sounds from the TR-8 in combination with the soundcard was a bit challenging, but eventually managed that. Great and intuitive piece of gear.

True analog sound

My second analog synth. And it really is analog; so if you want to work with automation, forget it. Inspiring and solid piece of gear. Brings you an analog synth for a decent price. I just have to use it more often ;)

No better fit with Ableton Live

I cannot see a better controller to be incorporated with Ableton Live while producing. Live performance likely to be different. Anyway a controller I use with every production! Great and intuitive piece of gear.

Excellent Studio Headphones

These closed studio headphones are simply amazing. Clarity and punch combined with a very comfortable fit. Can't imagine them better.

Simply my DAW

This is simply the DAW that fits my workflow (or did I develop my workflow based on it....?). Anyway my DAW and don't see (yet) why I should change.

Great and overwhelming package

Great package of softsynths, which by the sheer number of options is quite overwhelming. But thanks to a good way to filter on type of sound and/or emulated device this is a bit more manageable. Still a lot to pick from.

Excellent

Takes away any resonation on/through the desk. Essential piece of gear.

Excellent!

Purchased at www.tonecontrol.nl Brilliant mixer with superb sound quality. Really love the ability to chain effects.

Entry level recorder

My recorder with which I try to record live-sets. Set-ups are not always suitable for the best recordings, but does a good job for the price.

Favourite bass

This is my favourite bass in my set-up. Analog bass sound and real knobs to twist and turn while searching for the bass you want. At a extremely fair price as well.

Good quality budget sollution

Initial buy, but currently ready to upgrade my monitor speakers. Quite heavy on the lows, need a lot of reference listening to get my mix-down right. But hey, they still do their job ;)

Good bang for the buck

My DJ Headphone. Giving a good bang for the buck! :) Even though spare parts are not that easy to find anymore.

Excellent to fit between monitor and keyboard

This is an excellent soundcard to fit between your monitor and keyboard.
