Block Donald

Hey guys. After Donald Trump's disgusting comments yesterday, I call on all UK residents to sign this petition. It's viral over here, and the government have apparently promised to review it.

It was literally the same as the site was made for me. I was looking for Jack White's gear.

Siamese Dream VS MCATIS

Ok, me, and my friends were discussing this, and damn, it got heated, so I thought I'd bring it to the forum.

Footswich vs overdrive

What are you using your OD to play anyway?

Footswich vs overdrive

Man, if you've got a frontman, the best thing to do is burn it, frankly.

Vox AC15C2

Quick, sound the horns of the lord Jim, for his time has come to ride into valiant battle, and lend his ridiculous knowledge, love, and sexual attraction t...umm..., the vox amp.

Yeah, but is he a decent player. In my opininon if you've done well, in life, play guitar ell, and regularly, and give to the poor, or needy, you can have 10 Gibsons.

I know a guy with three, which he doesn't really play, but he's nice, and he donates, and he can actually do a pentatonic. It's handy knowing people, with lots of nice guitars, for various reasons, but my band are hoping to start gigging in the new year, so they probably wouldn't mind lending me their stuff (I'd be looking to haggle for this guys '74 goldtop, and this awesome marshall 2x12 cab, I could run whatever head I get my hands on into. Don't no anybody with a decent head)

I'm UK, and I can honestly say I've never been in a car that has an automatic gearbox. Nobody uses them! Maybe we're all just control freaks.

Cheap Little Tube Amps

Probably not that much cheaper than an AC15 that's not handwired.

10yover 10 years ago

Cheap Little Tube Amps

But then surely by the time you've, bought an AC4HW, and then a decent 2x12, you could just buy an AC15. How about this for utter idiocy. This guy I know has been given seven hundred to buy an amp. HE GOES AND BUYS A LINE 6 SPIDER. I laughed myself to death. He's loaded though; he can't do a pentatonic, but his Dad bought him, an American Les Paul.

Tone wood

I had a chat, with a friend of mine, who works for a company that supplies various guitar companies, that I can't name, and apparently olive is very popular with basses, but is used for guitars as well

Hello

Welcome. Gear Padawan, you must become wise in the ways of the high quality stompbox, and fight the darth lords fractal, kemper, and line 6.

Seriously, welcome. This place is great as a community, and a forum (After a while you know everyone really, but then there's only about six of us consistently using the guitarists, and Bassists forum; Me, Jim, Boom, Liam, Narcist, Gchiaren)

I reckon that once you've bought the domain, as long as you're building it yourself, with a free piece of software it should be costless, though some of the site's features might require some paid for software, and a ittle amount of money, for them to be added. Just guessing though. And there's no legitimate staffing.

The micro terrror is hybrid (Half solid state, half tube). The vox ac4 is nice, just if you were doing anything more than bedroom practise, you'd need to cab it up, I know someone who does that.

Vibrato/Whammy Bar on Epiphone Les Paul

I really like stetsbars, or Wilkinson trems, because Floyds do nick the tone, and Bigsby's (In my experience) just send the tuning to another planet. I had an Aria with a Bigsby, and the tuning was just horrific. One slight movement, and it was just gone.

Vibrato/Whammy Bar on Epiphone Les Paul

I heard Epiphone made a les paul (Plustop Pro FX???) with a Floyd. It was in a Rob Chapman video. Look it up, it seems cool, but I don@t think they make it anymore. The original price was like £490 I think, so I don't know how much it'd be now.

I don't usually shill my music on the forum unless asked, but....

Yeah Jim very true. I'm in a band, we had a little slot tonight, and all off our songs are of higher quality than my solo stuff. We are currently doing a SoundCloud, but we have no decent mixes of anything. I'm 13, don't know if that's bad to say online, but hey ho, as I've said before internet creeps don't hang around on equipboard. All the profile pics I have where I have my jazzmaster, and I'm in a classroom are 10 months old so I look a tad older now. I'll update my PIC soon.

I hope to upload some decent stuff, to my SoundCloud at some point soon rather than that substandard floaty crap

Getting into pedal building

What like? It seems all new stuff "sounds like an incompetent eleven year old, had welded his Nintendo, to a half blown-up octaver, then into some horrible Chinese made fuzz, through around fifteen treble boosters, a sequencer, and an unexploded bomb, then ran his out of tune gear 4 music violin through it into an amp, attacked by bears, decimated by whales, and had its disability benefits axed by David Cameron, which has then been recorded over a nokia brick phone, through to a wet cellar in Poland, where the signal was mixed 75:25, with a recording of somebody abusing some Velcro, with a blowtorch, and a shotgun, and finally played back through a line 6 amp in prime condition. (All of my home recordings)", to quote a thread I wrote a while back.

I don't usually shill my music on the forum unless asked, but....

Yep, that's me. I've only got a few rubbishy demos up at the moment, as opposed to the other stuff I've got. Relief (65) is the one with a harmony lead (I've fiddled around with it a lot, and added so much more than what's in that demo, I just made quickly). Unexplained Happiness is fairly decent for a demo, for me, but again I am remaking it, with the downside I've lost all of the parts.

10yover 10 years ago

Tone wood

Yeah never heard of it so maybe not a good sign, but it does look like a decent neck wood. If you're gonna build a guitar a guitar I'd invest in decent well known, reliable woods like swamp ash, or mahogany.

Audioslave Reformation???

The luminary is essentially a boutique POG1, with the ability to save one preset, filter the attack (So yeah, a slow gear style effect), an envelopey filter thing and a flutter mode, vibrato thing. Looks so good, but I'll never be able to afford it. It's more expensive, and with less features than the POG2, but the sound quality is better.

10yover 10 years ago

I don't usually shill my music on the forum unless asked, but....

I have a zillion songs, with demos, but quite often I have ridiculously hard parts to nail, and unless I get them exactly right I don't really like to upload. I have one song with a harmony lead between two guitars a third apart, and a keyboard, and it is taking years!!!

Unfortunately being a teenager my voice is slightly reminiscent of a rollercoaster, so my songs are generally instrumentals, with lyrics written for them.

10yover 10 years ago

I don't usually shill my music on the forum unless asked, but....

Obviously they're only demos, but they're pretty good. Raise the vocals up a bit on the first one though. I'll listen through some more a bit later.

Audioslave Reformation???

I'm no professor of grunge, but they seem to fit what my mental idea of grunge is, though by the sounds it's probably wrong.

10yover 10 years ago

Audioslave Reformation???

I was going to add the melvins, but got sidetracked. Not familiar with tad though.

There is definitely what I'd call grunge on the double LP, and slightly less on Siamese dream. Zero, BWBW, Muzzle.

10yover 10 years ago

Audioslave Reformation???

Yeah, I wouldn't put where you live on your info. The internet is full of strange, creepy, stalkers, and people who want to send medical attention to your house, though admittedly if you were to be looking to harass somebody online you probably wouldn't pick Equipboard, out of all the places you could.

10yover 10 years ago

Audioslave Reformation???

I've got to say that Soundgarden were the second best grunge band; Nirvana were overrated, and not actually that good, and Pearl Jam Alice in chains were a bit dull most of the time. Mudhoney were amazing, but only had that one song.

The best is undoubtedly the smashing pumpkins. They're amazing musicians, composers, and rockers, who can write beautiful, emotionally touching, ugly, and intricate pieces of music. (I've had dawn to dusk on repeat, for the last two hours though, so I could be slightly biased)

Is it official? I've been waiting for months, to find out!

Also anybody know when the walrus audio luminary comes out? Another pedal for me to binge watch on youtube, and constantly check prices of on ebay, then eventually not buy, because it's very overpriced.
