trifecta of dynamites, the old one needs service so I got these 2 for when its in the chop.... if 1 was good, 3 will be better

my favorite stereo limiter/expander
I have 2 of these and a valley people, these sound and behave exactly like the earlier dynamite in a sturdier rack case, see that review.... excellent VCA unit, versatile and extreme if you want it.... not for the timid or uninitiated
the destroyer is better than I remembered
got one ofthese and man... everything I remembered.... this lives on my B Bus in parallel... just god yeah, its everything a distressor tries to be at extreme settings with nothing but the anger and pummeling and subtle distortion... on its own maybe good for room mics or something but as a parallel send jesus! SWEET JEEEE-ZUS... sounds like a record.
Get a later valley international branded unit, the original rack case is total garbage and was improved later in the 80s.

lucky man!
there was this guy in pensatucky getting rid of 2 of his and I just made him an offer, told him it would be cheaper shipping with less robust packing and grabbed them
the thing about these guys is they're known as parallel smashers or room mic or overhead crushers but they can be used subtly in peak mode to tame an errant hit or 2 in a live performance or make fantastic expanders in gate mode if you want something with the kepex sound overall but more refined and also with a different release curve as well as a really appealing character if you let it clip just on the attack? this is your guy. The sidechin input fucks really well on these too, really well.
