Boldest pick: Novation Launchpad Mk2
Only 9 pro artists on Equipboard own it, but it's ranked #16 in MIDI Pad Controllers.
Avg price: $101.41
Great controller. I still use it in my live sets.
Four by four drum pad with six knobs. I use it as an FX sampler in the style of Mujuice, Kulakostas, Latenot. The first four knobs are responsible for the sampler effects, and the fifth is responsible for the swing of the drums. The first controller in my setup.
Avg price: $87.15
Great controller. I still use it in my live sets.
A controller that controls audio effects and volume for instrument and master channels in FL Studio. The second instrument in my setup.
Avg price: $89.09
Great controller. I still use it in my live and DJ sets.
The controller is 8 by 8 buttons. Performs 3 functions: one-shot sampler, beat repeater (kick, clap, snare, hat) in the style of Pixelord, loop-player. There was a 4th function of the drum machine: eight pads played 8 clips of drum parts: House, Twostep, Trap, Dubstep, Breakbeat. But it was taken over by the IK Multimedia UNO Drum drum machine.
Korg nanoKEY2 USB Keyboard Controller
Avg price: $70.35
Great controller. Sometimes I use it in my live and DJ sets.
Just a midi keyboard that I play around with sometimes. Since the setup was then inspired by Mujuice setup from 2012, the keyboard played the role of the analog synth Pocket Piano from Critter & Guitari.
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2
Avg price: $115.75
The best audio interface. I use it both in live performances and for recordings.
I plug in the KORG Monotron Delay into the 1st microphone jack. In the 2nd - less often the LG ACC-M900K microphone (if we talk about live sets) and the IK Multimedia UNO Drum.
Akai Professional LPD8 Laptop Pad Controller
Avg price: $69.12
Great controller. Sometimes I use it in my live and DJ sets.
Just a midi keyboard that I play around with sometimes. Since the setup was then inspired by Mujuice setup from 2012, the keyboard played the role of a pocket synth and sampler OP-1 from Teenage Engineering, which firstly Mujuice used as a third sampler, and secondly is damn expensive. I also use this controller together with Native Instruments Traktor S2 MK2 as a second effects block.
Native Instruments TRAKTOR Kontrol S2 MKII
Avg price: $777.00
Great controller. I always use it in my DJ sets.
A good DJ remote from Native Instruments. This is where I hone my playing skills. Used in DJ sets.
Avg price: $170.59
Great controller, but I don't use it for my live set anymore.
My former controller. Responsible for the volume of each stem in the track. Was sold in March of this year. The main reason was the transition to the Xone K2, which is more like a DJ mixer.
