Super useful for Ableton
Using it with Ableton is awesome, even more with Launchpad95. It can replace an Ableton Push to some extends. It's quite big, and it's cool for keeping in memory buttons place. Though, the feeling of the buttons is quite stiff, it's not velocity sensible, and it freak out when I move it while plugged (maybe it's just mine (unplugging - replugging fix the issue)). Overall, it's a good equipment, RGB for having a good view of the scene and handy. I got mine for 40€, it's worth-it.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Use it with Launchpad95, or else you will use your launchpad at its bare minimum.

Great controller. I still use it in my live and DJ sets.
The controller is 8 by 8 buttons. Performs 3 functions: one-shot sampler, beat repeater (kick, clap, snare, hat) in the style of Pixelord, loop-player. There was a 4th function of the drum machine: eight pads played 8 clips of drum parts: House, Twostep, Trap, Dubstep, Breakbeat. But it was taken over by the IK Multimedia UNO Drum drum machine.

Amazing, if slightly limited
This device has proven to be a brilliant performance tool and pretty good in the studio. I'd say that you have to get pretty creative to use this to create a full song. You assign an instrument to each of the user modes, and use session to trigger clips and mixer to, obviously, mix. However, unlike the LaunchPad Pro, it doesn't have a visible scale function, and that takes away from writing more melodic parts. But it is a brilliant drum tool at the very least. And it's heaps of fun to play songs with lights, using custom lights plugins.

A fun grid of sound
I used to use this thing all the time along side with my Launchpad Mini as some of my very first midi controllers. I used it a lot with Live and I still have yet to learn how to set up the cool light show feature when paired with a certain program. The cord that came with it became buggy and unreliable after a few months of use and will randomly disconnect from my computer while playing though which is why this gets four stars and not five. I still have yet to replace the cord.

I pulled a Madeon
I use two of these in my live shows and one in the studio to produce. I gotta say I can see why Madeon does this and honestly i couldn't imagine how I'd run my shows without it. it is quite the multitasker and they are still SUPER relevant. However I bought both of mine used not having a lot of money at the time but they have held up amazing and I painted both of them white.

Had my doubts, but I am very happy!
I am one of the few that actually bought this launchpad, NOT to play it as an instrument, but to use it as a DAW controller for live looping and performance. I did not want to overpay for a PRO, since they added velocity sensitive pads and I already own something with velocity pads. I actually doubted to buy it, because it is so hyped by teenagers who just use it to play chopped up tracks with lightshows. But seeing the possibilities to use it in a live looping setup, I made my mind. And I don't regret it. What a great device! The pads feels silky smooth, and the lights are actually very cool. I love how they use the lights to find your way through your DAW setup.
Downsides:
I wish there is an after market or branded Launchpad bracket, so that I can place it above my midi keyboard stand. I only see DIY brackets on the internet... I will create one soon, but I honestly would pay for a Novation bracket / stand if they had one. And I am guessing, I am not the only one.

Great with Bitwig
I picked this up to use with Bitwig, found a script that makes use of several functions, like key ranges. I haven't gone deep with this, sometimes wonder if I should have picked up a pro, but been enjoying this. Plus registering Novation and Focusrite gear has gotten me a lot of free plug-ins and discount coupons through the Plug-in Collective.

Cool Performance Tool!
Once you learn how to use this tool, it's such a cool and interesting concept. It's really good for small performances. Easy to use, affordable, and looks great when used to it's best ability.
Amazing performance tool
This launchpad is amazing! I use it to make covers of songs but it can be used like any other midi controllers. During my live shows, I use it to control the light show on the LED wall that is behind me via the software resolume arena. It is an amazing performace tool for audio AND video.

'On The Road' must have
Definitely nothing beats the Ableton Push in terms of the famous grid instrument layout, although that being said I recently bought this because the Push was quite a hassle to chuck in my backpack with me during travels. This definitely does it's job right, and a big plus to the pads in this that are actually press-able.
