Description

Baterinho is a percussion instrument invented and developed by Jeroen Dekker. It is produced entirely in the Netherlands. It provides not only a kick and snare sound but a tomtom and tambourine/hihat sound as well. It is played using hands and feet and can be played by both left and right handed people. But it is also possible to use sticks, rods or brushes. The kick ‘heads’ on both sides of Baterinho can be used to produce conga or surdo sounds. It is the ideal instrument for acoustic settings where a complete drumset would produce too much noise or take too much space.
