Description

The Waterphone is an enigmatic instrument, embracing a world of auditory wonders. Composed of a uniquely constructed stainless steel body, a hollow cylindrical neck, and an array of brass rods, this percussion marvel invites both musicians and sound explorers to dive into its otherworldly soundscapes. The ethereal tones it produces evoke the haunting songs of the orca and the mysterious echoes of distant galaxies, making it an indispensable tool for creating atmospheric tension in film scores and avant-garde performances.

Playing the Waterphone is an immersive experience. Strike the rods with mallets, pluck them with your fingers, or glide a bow across them to unleash its full sonic potential. Adjust the pitch by simply tilting or swinging the instrument, or manipulate its voice further by altering the water level within. A liter of water is the sweet spot, but feel free to experiment for deeper or higher tones. This instrument is not just played; it's a journey of discovery, perfect for those who wish to push the boundaries of traditional sound.

Exploring the eerie sounds of a horror movie favorite

This is one of the coolest instruments ever! We've all heard it in some of our favorite horror movies (its used a lot in THE HUNGER). It makes some of the creepiest and other worldly sounds ever heard IMO. They can be played with a bow, a mallet, or even just bumping it with your hands. I dream of finding one of these in a garage sale one day for 5 bucks because they are kind of pricey.
