i use the free version and it is amazing.
as an independent artist wanting to make their own visuals, touchdesigner caught my eye due to the fact that no coding is involved, and after a few tutorials, you start to understand what everything does. it also comes with the touchplayer download which is useful for running the visuals whilst generating live. the ableton live sync is very useful. obviously, this kind of visual is a style, but it is very fun to use and is a nice thing to do in your free time.
