Description

The MONO M80 Vertigo Electric Guitar Case is a game-changer for musicians who seek both style and practicality without sacrificing protection. Designed for those who are always on the go, this top-loading masterpiece allows you to effortlessly retrieve your guitar without laying the case down, thanks to its innovative diagonal hinge. It's not just about convenience; it's about elevating your gigging experience.

What truly sets the Vertigo apart is its patented Headlock neck suspension system. This automatic feature cradles your guitar neck securely without any cumbersome straps or buckles. Review: Mono M80 Vertigo Guitar Softcase - Extended Range Guitar Nerds

ergnerds.com

The MONO M80 Vertigo guitar case impresses with its stylish design and lightweight build, making it a compelling alternative to traditional hard cases. Its standout features include water-resistant Sharkskin™ material, a robust ABS shell, and innovative Headlock™ neck suspension that ensures secure guitar storage. The Boot™ drop-stopper provides excellent protection from vertical impacts, while the high-quality zippers and comfortable backpack straps enhance usability. However, the side pocket's limited capacity is a drawback, and the additional cost of the optional Guitar Tick™ accessory can be steep. Despite the high price, the M80 Vertigo's superior protection and aesthetics justify its value, earning it a positive recommendation.

The quality has my head spinning.

This gig bag is outstanding. Taking everything that made it’s predecessor great and refining it, this bag is a must for any serious guitarist. It’s sleek yet un-compromising design makes this a perfect blend of minimalistic design and monos outstanding protection. The material is hardy and will weather most any damage or element. To add to the exterior robustness, the thick rubber bottom of the bag means you can be confident putting this down just about anywhere. Interior this bag is soft and you can be confident in it protecting your guitars finish. Mono have designed a special block system to lock the neck in place and prevent breakage, the walls of the case are solid and will act more like a hard case than a gig bag. In all this is an amazing case, all the protection of a hard case with the utility of a gig bag.

Extra space is a premium. The front pocket is large on paper but tight in practice, big enough for some sheet music but not much else. This is countered however by the additional D rings that allow for the fitting of the mono tick if desired.

My only let down is the straps which compared to the amazing body feel less premium and more like a mid tear bag. Thinner and simply attached, these feel like the weakest point of the bag.

These days, Sweeney carries a Martin D-28 acoustic in his Vertigo Acoustic Guitar case, a gift from the friendship with Neil Diamond. We couldn’t quite believe it ourselves talking to Matt Sweeney, so best if you heard it from the man himself!

(...) What else do you keep in your MONO case?

I had to get a new case cuz the old one fell apart and Alex Olson told me about MONO bags. The original case contained tons of papers – years worth of set lists, cheat sheets, backstage passes and like 20 of those airline inspection sheets. I’m gonna keep the best of that stuff in my new MONO bag, like these lyric sheets to a few unreleased songs me and Billy Gibbons wrote.
