The Nikon Z7 II delivers incremental improvements over its predecessor, the Z7, but falls short of being a must-have upgrade. Dual card slots, improved buffer, and enhanced autofocus are welcome, yet not groundbreaking. Handling remains familiar to Nikon users, but minor quirks and menu navigation challenges persist. While video capabilities are solid, they don't outshine competitors. The Z7 II is an excellent camera, yet its enhancements don't justify the additional cost over the Z7 for everyone. If cutting-edge autofocus or USB power delivery aren't priorities, the Z7 remains a compelling choice at a lower price.
