Ohmicide isn't just another effects processor; it's a multiband distortion powerhouse, integrating seamlessly with VST, AU, and RTAS platforms. What truly sets Ohmicide apart is its integration of Ohm Force's famed Melohman technology, previously exclusive to synthesizers. This allows for dynamic preset morphing, enabling live performers to trigger various effects through MIDI keyboards, offering an interactive experience like no other.

The interface of Ohmicide is designed with clarity in mind, featuring an informative waveform display and conveniently placed global controls. Each band is easily accessible, allowing for precise manipulation without overwhelming the user. Despite the minimalistic design, the artistic touch, with subtle details, adds character to the interface.

For those passionate about live performances, Ohmicide's MIDI learn functions are game-changing, providing the ability to assign parameters to MIDI CCs and creating glitchy effects with ease. Whether you’re looking to add subtle warmth or go all-out with aggressive distortion, Ohmicide’s flexible controls make it possible.

Sounds good.

It sounds good and looks sick. It could definitely need an update, it's a bit unstable. Could've been more user friendly.

Creative and versatile distortion plugin with unique features. Could be more user-friendly though.

The sound that this plugin produces can't be compared to any other ones out there. It covers an extremely wide range of distortion types, from subtle & smooth analog sounding effects to extreme bit-crushing, sound-mangling, unique effects. OhmForce plugins are all oriented towards creative expression and are fun to play with. The only drawback with Ohmicide is that the UI is not user-friendly (at all) and it takes a little while to understand all available features. But once that's done, the sound of this beast is so rewarding that you (almost) forget the time it took to master it.

RZZZZZZZ

I'm still scratching the surface of this little monster. I mainly use it for drums, but of course you can apply it to everything. You can use the 4 EQ bands to sculpt your sound just the way you like it, and the Melohman feature allows you to use a MIDI-mapped controller to morph between presets in a bank - kind of like how The Thing could adapt itself into new and horrifying configurations.

Crazy distortion that adds juiciness without harshness

The distortion of this plugin is crazy. It doesn't make it sound bad and loud. It just makes it more juicy!

doubleshotmaestro

The ugliest distortion I've ever used

This is an absolute essential in any plugin library. It has the possibility of subtle saturation, or extreme, over-driven, bit-crushing madness, and everything in-between. Multi-band plugins are becoming more and more popular, but out of all of them, this is certainly in my top 3 most essentials.

luke_greally

Better than maximus, would be even better with more customization, 8/10

It's similar to maximus but has an extra distortion/compression band and allows you to choose a type of distortion. Would be even better if I could have more bands or customize the distortion type.

chasecaffey

Grunge.

Great 4 - Band Filter that lets you distort the crap out of everything. Fun for my grunge projects.

juniorprimate

raw powerful sound

This is the distortion plugin I use when I want something to sound digital and raw. It's so good for this that I don't question where to go when I need that type of sound.

Transforming simple sounds into Skrillex-style wobbles

This VST gives so much to a sound. Can turn a simple, boring wobble into a grindy, fat, Skrillexy sound

I'm weird with busses...because I taught myself how to make music in Logic, busses were a foreign concept to me for a long time. Instead I'd just add reverb individually to the channels I needed them on which isn't necessarily "good" but it works for me. Now I do bus all my drums besides my kick and compress them so they are a bit more upfront in the mix and sound tight. I think my drum bus is just a CLA-2A compressor and an EQ, nothing crazy. I've also been doing sends for my bass sounds to an Ohmicide distortion so that they can be crispy but not compromise the original signal.

sausage fattener is so great. anyone who says it's not is lying haha. As for saturation/distortion/reverb....I use the Maserati GTi from Waves for saturation, distortion I like Ohmicide and reverb I'm a fan of the Logic platinum verb.
