Great Exotic Sounds
I really find this expansion very interesting, it really contains a lot of well sampled ethnic instruments from between Asia, Europe, Africa, South America. It have a lot of variety sounds and there is some unique pads that i have heard in expansion too, i was very impressed with some of the samples from certain instruments like the sitar and a lot of percussive instruments and also strange Synth Sounds.
I really recommend this expansion if you are looking for Exotic sounds as it really unique.

Grant Kirkhope mentioned on Twitter that he recalls using the Roland SR-JV80-05 World Expansion Board for his game compositions.
In this song by Iwadare from 2016, the Euro Zither patch from SR-JV80-05 is used.
"I love the old TX802 FM module because it can create all those classic FM sounds, and of course, I have a JV2080 which has its own character and is expandable. I have the World card in there for the ethnic instruments, but I buy expander cards and then forget what I've got — it's terrible really! There's also the Roland Super JV, which is great for vocal Oohs and Aahs, and below that is an R8 that I don't think I've used for years."
Graeme Norgate confirmed his use of the Roland SR-JV80-05 World Expansion Board when asked by a user on Bluesky Social, as verified in his response on the platform.
"Yes, if memory serves it has world, vintage synth, orchestral & pop...I think"
While explaining his roland expansion cards he used.
"Hi! I didn't use any jv1080 expansions on Inspector Gadget, just the factory preset sounds. But I had Orchestral 1+2, Asia and World expansions in my JV1080."
"NM: I was running Cubase on a Windows PC. I had a multi-port MIDI interface which allowed me to communicate with multiple external devices. For synthesizers I had a Roland JV90, and a Roland JV1080 which is the rack version of the JV90. Both of these were equipped with the Orchestral 1 & 2 Expansion Boards and the World Expansion Board. I also had an Ensoniq SQ1-Plus but I was using it less and less as I progressed with my orchestral scores – it wasn’t so good at producing real orchestral instrument sounds. I had a few other bits and pieces, an Ensoniq multi-effects rack and a Focusrite compressor, and that was about it."
An email from someone who contacted Andrew Barnabas about JV expansions he used for Frogger on PS1.
"Hi Dell, my that is a specific question and good detective skills with Frogger! Yes, we had the pop, vintage and world expansions, the rest of the samples from the Akai S3200."
"I had a trusty JV1080 with the World and Orchestral boards, I think most of us Rare composers did at the time. We recorded quite a lot with the orchestra, but I kept some of those synth sounds."
