MIDI IN port is made out of kleenex. DO NOT BUY!

I'm currently in the process of building a rack rig, and if there's one thing that many MIDI controllers have in common, is that they can't control TS/TRS relay, so an external relay controller would make a lot of sense. Now, the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher would've been an excellent answer to this issue in theory; however, Voodoo Lab should've made sure that this unit is built to last. However, it seems that whoever's been in charge of the quality control made a critical oversight on the MIDI IN port.

The switching modes are stuck on Reverse mode no matter HOW I try to set it up. But what's even worse, the MIDI IN doesn't even work! I've checked and rechecked my connections, and even did a factory reinitialization to see if those would fix the problem, but it's ALL THE SAME! FREAKING TERRIBLE!

As Glenn Fricker of SMG would say, "sound quality and/or features do not matter when a critical piece of gear can fail when you're just trying to set it up."

Maybe this is an isolated issue. However, considering the fact that I'm building a rack gear where every single component needs to work without a hitch, this is a major turn-off. The MIDI IN port is made out of kleenex, and it is NOT road-worthy, so unless you're planning to buy 4-5 backups JUST to protect your investments, DON'T BUY IT!
