Rosette and headstock match to Yamaha G-50 NT natural.

Althought photo is in B&W, the shade of the soundboard clearly indicate a Natural finish. A ceder top would have been more a darker shade.

3 alternative and related items for Yamaha G-50, curated by the Equipboard community.

Yamaha G-50a

similar sound

The Yamaha G-50 and G-50A classical guitars are entry-level models from the 1960s and 70s' "G Series," differing mainly in their manufacturing dates and detailed specifications. While the basic design and materials used (e.g., spruce top, meranti/kapoor sides and back) are the same, the "A" (Ancho/wider or improved version) indicates minor quality changes depending on the manufacturing period, such as a slightly wider fingerboard or a modified bridge.

Yamaha G-60A

high-end alternative

Generally, the G-50 was positioned as a more affordable entry-level model, while the G-60A was positioned as a step up in grade.

Yamaha G-60

high-end alternative

The main differences between Yamaha's classical guitars "G-50" and "G-60" lie in their manufacturing year, price point (the G-60 being the higher-end model), and the resulting subtle differences in tone and specifications. The G-60 is characterized by a brighter, clearer tone.
