Couldn't find a black one in the database. This was a Father's Day gift from my son one year.
This is one of the bargainmusician.com pre-assembled guitars. Right out of the box I had to change the pickup selector switch to a Switchcraft, because it felt sloppy and terrible. The pickups themselves were terrible, I put in a GFS "Crunchy PAT" 14K bridge and 10K neck, and they scream. Will probably change the output jack with a Switchcraft and new tuners eventually, but right now it's not too awful bad with a decent set up.
These are great guitars, and not outrageously expensive. Great playing guitars with the Brian May series switching system. I have 2, one in red and one in green. Just a tip, the Roadrunner MEG case works great for these, because of the bigger body.
My best playing guitar. I took the covers off of the pickups, I think it looks better. The chrome covers look to gaudy on that guitar, IMO.
These are great guitars, I have 2. One is a 1986, Ocean Turquoise, with a rosewood fingerboard. I also have a black 1987 with a maple fingerboard. Both "E" series.

I've been using this a lot lately. It sounds great, and it's much lighter than my Hot Rod DeVille on my 60 year old bad back.
