Needed a cheapish baritone, got a cheapish baritone. Looks and feels great. Stock pickups are a little dark for my taste but swaps are easy. My main problem is the construction: playing unplugged makes it obvious that the loose seating of the pickups lets some harsh sound out of the chambered body. There’s also a very small amount of volume control on the tone knob, meaning that rolling down the volume knob all the way will leave you with some leftover output. But who am I to not even try fixing it and then complain, sounds good with bari strings and standard strings, so I combined some sets for some craziness and it’s crazy and awesome.

Chimey rhythm channel for black face tones, punchy lead channel for tweed tones, and finally a reverb on a Fender-type amp that doesn’t sound like it could ever be replicated by any pedal, it adds so much color. Amazing construction and finish on my surf green model. Not a huge tremolo guy but sounds great to me, I guess it’s there if I ever need it.
