Oldfield can be seen in this photo playing a Ramirez 1A classical guitar.
During this video of Oldfield rehearsing sections of "Tubular Bells II", Mike can be seen playing a Farfisa Professional organ at about 2:30. This organ was used on quite a few of his albums from the original "Tubular Bells" through to the 2003 re-recording.
"The guitar is DI'd through a GP8 guitar processor and goes via a couple of modules from the original Manor desk; the compressor module is used to really squeeze the Strat sound. You want the guitar to still sound like a guitar-but I might put some flanging underneath, as well as dense, long echo. I'll also use the Eventide Harmonizer on rnost of the sampled guitars. All the guitar parts are DI'd using a processor-miking up an amp is OK for some styles, but I've been using a processor for the last few years and find that I get more precision-more control. It's also more practical when the studio is being operated by one person."
This wonderfully detailed photo from the Ommadawn recordings sessions show all the instruments that Oldfield played on the album (and there are most likely others not shown as well). The labelling is quite obvious, but the 2600 is against the right wall, in front of the tubular bells.
"My existing effects all have digital inputs and outputs because the studio is all-digital, other than a few front-end devices. One of the units is a TC M5000, which gives me reverb and pitch change, and then there's an Eventide 4000 Harmonizer which just sounds right, as well as being easy to use. Other than that, there are just one or two delays used for echo, flanging and that kind of thing and of course, a Lexicon reverb."
Mike Oldfield is associated with the Ovation 1687-8 Adamas acoustic-electric guitar, which features a carbon fiber top. A user-uploaded photo on Tubular provides visual evidence of this connection.
According to Tubular.net, Mike Oldfield used the Boss GT-6, which he later sold on eBay in 2007.

"I am working on my 22nd album and when it's finished ( Next year ) I will send you all some files.
btw. It is very good to see a product like FL Studio which is available to all and doesn't cost $10000000000 of dollars"

The attached image is from the sleeve of the Discovery album and the Fairlight Series II (keyboard, computer and monitor) can be seen in the centre. Oldfield was one of the early Fairlight owners. He actually had two of them (astonishingly, given their cost at the time!), both of which were used for live work. (reference tubular.net http://tubular.net/instruments/#SAMPLER )
The image here is from the inner sleeve of Oldfields "Discovery" album. The Fender Rhodes piano is in the foreground (with the Roland VP-300 on top). It's most likely the 88-note model. The listing on tubular.net is not specific, however, it's obvious that he used a Rhodes of some description. http://tubular.net/instruments/#PIANO
In this video from 1980, there is a clear shot at 13:30 of Oldfield playing a Polymoog. Here, the Moog audio and his voice are combined through an outboard vocoder.
In this studio clip of his cover version of the Shadows classic "Wonderful Land", at 1:09, Oldfield is briefly seen with three synths as the camera flys in. The one in the middle that he is 'playing' (in an amusingly hammy fashion for the purpose of the video!) is the Prophet 5. The Prophet 5 was used on his albums "Platinum" "QE2" "Five Miles Out" and "Crises". It was also used in concerts by keyboard player Tim Cross. (information from Tubular.net http://tubular.net/instruments/?by=cat#SYNTH )
He can be seen holding this guitar in the cover of 1985 famous album "Mike Oldfield".
In this footage of Oldfield's studio, at 25 secs in when Mike begins introduce some of his pieces, the distinctive top panel of the Moog Taurus I pedals can be seen at the bottom centre of the picture
Absynth 3 was used on the album Light + Shade, as indicated in the liner notes.
FM7 was used on the album Light + Shade, according to the liner notes.
Spectrasonics Atmosphere was used on the album Light + Shade, according to the liner notes.
