There is no way to convincingly emulate a steel-string electric guitar using a midi keyboard and a VST instrument... so knowing which emulations sound best to you personally is really important (like that video).
Are there any more keyboard-guitar videos on YouTube where you think the sound they've achieved is good enough? Having a few more reference points would help.

We are redesigning the artist page and I want your feedback and ideas
Q: What is the biggest issue you have with the artist page now?
You have to scroll and scroll and scroll to view all of an Artist's gear entries.
I wish there was a way to see more than 1 piece of gear at a time on mobile and more than 3 at a time on desktop.
The current design feels better-suited to a social media website with an endless feed, where there is no way to see "everything", and the point is just to keep you scrolling for as long as humanly possible. Even Amazon does 3+ at a time on mobile for shopping and 12 at a time for browsing videos. If I'm shopping for a Strat on fender(dot)com, they'll show me 4 at a time on mobile and 6 at a time on desktop.
Does anyone struggle with finding/browsing items on Artist profiles if any single category has more than a dozen items?

Yup I hear you. We're gonna take a proper pass at page speed as a whole with this upcoming redesign (including image loading speeds). The redesign is a great chance to bring many things to 2024 standards. We'll make sure it's very fast.

No, it's not... i want to add a gear to an artist. since this bass hasn't been added yet so i couldn't submit the correct bass model. the current gear list doesn't have this Sadowsky Metroline Vintage J/J bass 5-string yet, so i couldn't give the right information.

Yes, I understand the FL to stand for fretless. From reports, most have FL on the headstock, but some apparently don't.
There's also the Foundation S, which has P/J pickups.

No Livid CNTRL:R? Codanova VMX v64!
I just spent a few hours on it (something like 4 hours), and I fixed and lubricated all the faders, it feels super good now. Just have to fix the potentiometer now.

What's the difference between the standard Peavey Foundation and the Foundation FL? Are all FLs fretless? From the looks of it, all the FLs I'm seeing online are sunburst with a fretless board. Some have fret mark lines, some don't. Sort of a Jaco-flavored instrument with late-'80s modernizations?

Favorite Music Related YouTube Channels
People still write thoughtful lyrics, those people just don't get within spitting distance of the US charts anymore.
Sitting next to your record player with a big pair of headphones, reading the liner notes on the sleeve as you ponder the philosophical implications of what the artist is saying... people still do that... but this no longer describes anyone record companies are chasing when they pay to have musical streaming content made... they can more-effectively milk $$$ from the vinyl + headphones person with proven material made 40+ years ago, than they can with new product.

The Teto one is wrong. The vocal's official name is Kasane Teto. For category, I would say it's a voice bank for a virtual instrument. I don't know how to put it generically. Synthesizer V Pro Studio is a Singing Voice Editor, while you buy the voicebanks separately. I'll go ahead and correct the names in English.

If you're categorizing these as "virtual instruments", I would assume I could buy either on their own, without owning any other software and use them to produce music. Is this true, or are you required to own Vocaloid 6 or Synthesizer V Pro Studio to use them? If these other products are required, I would suggest categorizing them as either presets or expansion packs. I realize neither feels like a good fit to you, but consider from the standpoint of someone new to this product category, and choose something that is LEAST likely to cause them to purchase under a false assumption.

Yup, correct, though it's hard to find them online, especially my southpaw Ibanez lawsuit Les Paul (great guitar by the way). And I must say I relly enjoy this site, a lot of inspiration and information... :)

Also, glad to hear I guessed right re: motivations.
Everyone used to be able to add gear to the database as soon as they joined, but the site was slammed with people adding individualized entries for every possible permutation of everything, like "Kirk Hammet's #5 backup w/ Fishman instead of EMG in the Bridge". (ok, maybe not that bad, but you get the idea). It ultimately ended up being bad for the site in terms of SEO and therefore bad for keeping the bills paid (mods don't work for Equipboard, we're volunteers, but this is what I'm told).
So now there's this thread, where you ask and the Mods have to approve deny -- UNTIL you reach 500 points, after which you are free to add what you want.
So here's the deal: I'm not supposed to add another Traditional 60s Jazzmaster just for the sake of having a diff. color entry, but I'm gonna make an exception for lefties. Find me a good picture of your SFG lefty Jazzmaster, one that would look nice as a database entry photo (white background ideally), and I'll add it. Ditto for any of your remaining lefties that aren't in the database at all.
Once you get to 500 points, which will happen so much faster than you think, you're free to add what you think is right to the database on your own.
I wish the site had a way to just let each user add the generalized entries, and then choose what photo gets displayed when that general entry is in your profile, but whatever, it is what it is. Rock on.

My Assumptions:
You want this added to the database because you own this guitar. (I see a leftie offset fender in SFG in your gear photos)
The guitar in question is from Fender Japan's Traditional lineup and is a Limited Edition entry in that lineup.
The generalized entry we already have is insufficient, because you want every guitar in your profile to show as the right make, model, config, color and handedness because it's hard to find very specific guitars like this in LH, and if you went through all that trouble to find all these great lefties, the least we could do is have them in the database so you can show them off.
Am I correct in my assumptions?

I agree that it's good to be up to date with this stuff, but tell me which of these you need Artist submissions or for your own Equipboard. In this thread you're asking a civilian volunteer to add these when they have time, not Equipboard employees themselves.
