This is the Emmergy FX Slowdriver, a multi genre fuzz distortion, hand built in the UK. The circuit is a four transistor high gain, low noise, drive pedal loosely based around a Katzenkonig. The name derives from it being one of the pedals Christian Savill and Neil Halstead (Slowdive) have used live for their 2023/2024 world tour and was first seen being used by Christian at Glastonbury 2023. There are two gain controls for input gain and true transistor gain which make this pedal go from a mild crunch through to searing, face melting walls of noise. The volume gets very loud so it can also be used as a boost for solos and the filter, which is based on a RAT filter, shapes and sculpts your tone into any shape you could desire. The center switch gives you three different clipping options.

I had the misfortune of seeing Heartbeeps in 1981, as a 4-ish year old. The commercials looked so cool, and I asked if we could go see it, and it was just so so miserable. I felt so bad for my parents having to sit through it with me. The phrase "my bad" didn't exist yet, but that's 100% what it was.

Do you know how truly wretched a movie has to be, for a 4 year old to be embarrassed and ashamed he asked his parents to take him? I still remember that shame 43 years later... Heartbeeps is THAT awful.

Nice-looking acoustic. I couldn't find a clean high resolution picture. If you find a pic you like better, please feel free to edit.

Just a heads up, for when you're entering new instruments in the future (once you hit 500 point), try to generalize the entries you add so they work for as many people as possible, as I did here.

E.g. looks like Ibanez only made the F360 for about 4 years, and there were no documented changes or revisions, so if a 1978 F360 is gonna sound the same as a 1980 F360, then leave the date out of the item name. It's better for SEO reasons, and it's better for someone trying to add the F360 to an artist, because artists rarely come out and say the exact year of their instrument... we're usually just going off a concert photo.

I dug around a bit, and it looks like the F360 only ever came in black/"BK", but in some Ibanez wikis it was just listed as "F360 OR F360BK" so I left the "BK" out of the name, just incase.

This is a custom bass amp that is used by The Trews bass player Jack Syperek . Jack is mentioned on the Morris artist page and can be seen with his custom yellow Morris bass amp. I also saw them live a couple of weeks ago and took a closer picture of the amp which I've included in the image above.

I'm happy to add more of the items you've requested once you've addressed the noted issues with the submissions you've already made.

This is the purpose of restricting what items a new user can add, so that we volunteers have a chance to work through any issues with you before you start adding a dozen items at a time. Having a few issues to work through when you first start is a totally normal part of the process.

Asking the moderators to add 10 (!!!) different items within 24 hours is less typical, but totally ok, once you're making submissions that meet the guidelines. :)

Sounds good. Personally, if it's a product aimed purely at the video editing market and it can't be used to unlock ProTools (which seems to be the case), then it's not really the kind of gear that the site owners want added to the site, as it would be like adding a video camera or Avid Media Composer to the database...but you're over 500 points now, so you get to make the call on this kind of edge case stuff yourself.

I'm really want more encoders and faders. My Korg MicroKontrol have a bunch, but it's quite annoying to config them. The CNTRL:R is more modulable than the Push 1, and looks also more reliable (because the Ableton Push 1 is super based over its firmware, while the CNTRL:R a lot less). (also, it looks awesome with its huge 16 x2 pads longs thing dedicated for the timeline)

Makes sense. I've not known the Push 1 to be unreliable, but I never quite gelled with it myself. The footprint was just too big for my preferred work area.

Are you happy with the music you're currently making, and getting that music uploaded to the internet for others to enjoy? If the answer is "not yet", the Livid isn't likely to change that... but if you're rolling along and making lots of music you're happy with, the Livid might be a nice way to replace some of your other controllers.

Guys, I have fun story to tell.
So, (as your may saw on my profile), I really want a Livid CNTRL:R. A guy create an announce on a website, selling his Livid OHM RGB for 100€. I saw that just 20 minutes after he released his thing. I sent him a message, and when I was just about to buy it 5 minutes later, it was sold.
I was sad because the deal was close.
But I sent him a message, offering him 120, he cancelled the order, and took mine, I was glad, but literally 5 minutes later, he cancelled mine, the other guy just bought him back for 130.

So close! What is it you want to do with that Livid that you can't already do with your Push?

Hehe, you're wrong, I do have a late-90s PowerPC that have all the software installed and the PCI cards >:)
But yeah, the license is broken. I do have this dongle, but it doesn't work anymore, and have tried to call AVID for that (they said they had to replace the dongle if it broke), they never answered :')

Yay for the vintage Mac! But for music, I'd honestly recommend not touching any of that stuff. That 888 was more expensive than a good used car back when it came out, the converters on it are nice, but, personally, it's not worth the headache. It's not going to give you any kind of magic sound, it's just old, obsolete hardware that should be sold off or donated if nobody is using it to edit video anymore. Without the ability to unlock ProTools, it doesn't even really qualify as music production hardware, it belongs in a museum for film post-production, not music production.

Edit: Uhh wait, I don't remember if it was the 888 I/O that had a dongle in order to work :/ But can't I just used the S/PDIF ports on these things?

You could put the Digi 888 into a standalone mode and use it just as a converter, but what I'm seeing online is that the Avid 888 doesn't have the same stand-alone modes. But that's just forum chatter. It's not 1999 anymore. Ableton Live, or FL, or Logic + a $100 audio interface + a $100 midi controller and you can make any kind of music you want. A 25 year old audio interface has zero role the play in the process.

Yeah, I gotta say I went through the same thing the first year I was on this site.

The site sort of trains you to ignore its "new gear added", emails if you're posting regularly, because there's a good chance they're just notifying you of your own activity.

So I asked my dad, apparently the black version is for ProTools and the white one was for AVID (Avid Media Composer I guess). Should we create a second page for this one?

I did a bit more digging. Apparently the Avid version could not be used to unlock ProTools. The reverse was not true, the Digidesign 888 could be used with Avid Media Composer systems, and was a popular choice for Media Composer systems here in Los Angeles back in the late 90s and early 00s.

So... what are you using this AVID 888 I/O for? I'm guessing you don't have a late-90s PowerMac with the correct PCI slots and AVID Media Composer license needed to make this thing useful. The Digidesign 888 can be used as a standalone DAC, but that's a pretty obscure need in current music creation situations.

(Honestly I just typed the model name and took the first picture with white background) But I have a different version than the black one, that I don't know if it should be considered as the same :/ Mine is white with Avid logo on it. I'll add a picture of it in my gears in a few minutes.

As far as I know, this is functionally identical to a Digidesign 888 I/O, same ports, same circuit boards, same specs (16/18-bit), just painted white and badged as Avid so it looked like it belonged with Avid's other video post production products they were offering at the time.

But I'm no expert.

EDIT: if you want to add a separate entry for the Avid-badged version of the 16/18-bit 888 I/O, that's ok. We try to discourage 2 entries for the same product in terms of function/sound, but having a different brand name and front panel is different enough that we can't expect everyone to know to look for a Digidesign 888 I/O when they're trying to find a white Avid 888. Your call. Just make sure you've done your research for any gear you add outside the normal Thomann/Sweetwater link process, and hit me up with any questions if you you're unsure.
