"The mic I started with I think was called a Midnight Blues and I think it cost me $80 back in the day and it sounded worse than this thing (points the Neewer NW-800) and I used it all the time." During this quote, Huang shows a picture of the MB 1k.
"Above my desk, the wall has some foam panels. I've also got the same ones on the sealing." At this point in the video, Huang flashes the words "SONEX PYRAMID ACOUSTIC FOAM".
"Solid multi-purpose microphones I've used: Shure SM7B https://reverb.grsm.io/shure-sm7b Audio Technica AT4040 https://amzn.to/2ok3dNw Audio Technica AT2020 https://amzn.to/2wpB37o Rode NT1 https://amzn.to/2PIeWC9"

Used both throughout this video and on his album T.V. and Video Games.
Developed by Huang. A Lego sample from the pack was repurposed for a bubble sound in "Sparkle Mountain", as mentioned in the track breakdown at 9:02.
Andrew states that he thinks Phase Plant is the "best and most versatile soft synth ever." He can be seen using it in various other videos, such as this October 26, 2020 video at 6:28, but it is featured in this one from November 12, 2020. The video also announced the release of Polychrome, Huang's preset pack for kiloHearts' Phase Plant and Multipass.

Okay, shoot. When I bought this next item, it was fifty-two dollars and now it's ninety-eight. The economy! I really wanted to recommend a fifty-dollar guitar pedal. I mean, there's tons of guitar pedals that are under a hundred dollars. There's even some under fifty that sound great. I wanted to feature this one, though, because it's a Boss pedal and Boss has just made so many iconic pedals. I've owned so many of them throughout the years. I love their form factor and their construction, I obviously love how they sound, I love how they look. Anyway, this is still just under a hundred dollars and you can get lots of other pedals for much less money than that even.
From Andrew's blog post about special pug ins, where he illustrates the tools he uses for specific tasks in production. "There are a lot of vocoders out there, but this one has a beautiful tone and unmistakable crunchy edge, like if Stevie Wonder was a Speak & Spell. You can hear it on the bridge of my song "Desolation" (and you can compare it with the other very normal vocoder that also punctuates that song)."
Andrew exhibits his Yamaha DD9 on his wall of "weird gear" at 2:03 in this studio tour video
Can be seen using this in the "IDM" section of this song pretty clearly. Clearest shot: 1:04.
Andrew uses this electric guitar often. One of the videos it is present is on "Making a Song in 59 Minutes" around the 5:00 mark.
