Brendon Small's Guitars
Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer For fierce riffs, eviscerating tones, and all-out metal mayhem, there's no one heavier than Dethklok... or, in the imaginations of their creators, at least. As the resident death metal merchants on Adult Swim's Metalocalypse, Dethklok epitomizes no-hold-barred rock excess; but as much as the band members on the TV show are fictional, the music itself is very real. As performed by Brendon Small in the studio, who also does the voice for Dethklok's Gibson Explorer-wielding lead guitarist Skwisgaar Skwigelf, the guitar playing behind this animated phenomenon is powerful and compelling, and has garnered enough fans to warrant two actual album releases—The Dethalbum (2007) and Dethalbum II (2009)—and a series of live tours, with Small and supporting musicians playing live, accompanying animated characters on the big screen.
In honor of this virtual/actual sensation, Gibson USA introduces the Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer, a top-flight metal guitar that is very much real, and patterned after Skwisgaar Skwigelf's weapon of choice. Dressed in a stunning Silverburst finish, appointed with the finest electronics and hardware available, and rendered in the shape of the most radical electric guitar in the history of the instrument, the Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer is a fitting tribute to the musical achievements of Small and his animated partners in rock, although the guitar—unlike its namesake—is entirely flesh and blood... or, wood and wire at least. It packs all the meat and muscle to lash out the most menacing metal, yet is capable of purring sweetly when desired, and naturally it offers the kind of stellar playability that you have come to expect from more than a century of Gibson guitars.
Check out the Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer now at your authorized Gibson dealer, and prepare to animate your own metal mayhem.

Brendon Small Snow Falcon Flying V Even if the hardest-rocking mayhem merchants in the world of metal might be animated, their eviscerating new guitar is extremely real. Created for the co-creator of Adult Swim’s Metalocalypse, Brendon Small—and the new signature guitar of character Toki Wartooth—the Snow Falcon Flying V epitomizes everything you could want in a great shred machine, from stunning looks to uncompromising tone.
Just as real as this deadly new weapon in the Dethklok arsenal are Brendon Small’s chops as a composer and performer. Having studied music at Boston’s Berklee College of Music (during which he also took writing and comedy classes at nearby Emerson College), Small not only co-writes the animated comedy series, but voices several characters, while writing and performing all the music for the show’s star band, Dethklok. Crafted in the style of the original radical rock axe, the Brendon Small Snow Falcon Flying V is everything this versatile player needs in a high-performance metal machine—and it just might be perfect for you, too.
The Brendon Small Snow Falcon Flying V is packed with classic rock tone, but its dramatic looks are likely to grab you first. The stand-out feature here is the all-white fingerboard, created by laminating white polymer to a baked-maple ’board. Joined with the high-gloss “snow burst” body finish, white plastics, a back-of-headstock Snow Falcon graphic, and chrome hardware, the result is a look that will get you noticed on any stage. Tone is assured by a pair of Gibson’s acclaimed BurstBucker humbucking pickups, with independent push-pull coil-split switching for optimum sonic versatility. Premium hardware, a sublime playing feel, and that unparalleled Gibson build quality complete the package.

Here's my Kramer 84 that I painted with a lot of stripes. I really love the fat unfinished neck on this. I miss whammy bars! There's a @seymourduncanpickups Jason Becker Pickup in this one.#galaktikonII
Oh also I'd used this guitar for any Dr Rockzo moments. I pulled it out for the Doomstar Requiem when Rockzo makes his big appearance in "Giving Back to You"
