Starr maintains that this 1965 Fender Esquire in factory black, like his other single pickup guitars, sounds larger than most as there are less magnets interfering with the string vibration. He adds, “I’m told that it’s a physics thing. And I’m a physicist, so I subscribe to that theory.”

His is likely to be a custom shop model, as it comes with a binding on the body. Mainly used to play "Pretty Little Lie" because the intro riff and solo need a b-bender to be played.
I saw him using it in many videos alternating it with a Martin acoustic.
His is a 1962 model. You can see him playing it live sometimes as well.

In this Premier Guitar Rig Rundown video, Charlie Starr shows off his Echopark '55 Gold guitar. According to Starr, Echopark's luthier Gabriel Curry is "a true artisan. His attention to detail is incredible. The body and neck of this guitar is 500 year old mahogany," Starr said at (5:30).

Semi-Hollowbody Electric GuitarsFor some semi-hollow tone and feel, Starr goes with his stock 1964 Gibson ES-335 in Cherry Red with a Bigsby. The guitar belonged to a friend’s grandfather, and when Starr acquired it, he says, >It had gouges at the C, G, and D,” positioning his hand over the open chord shapes. He had it re-fretted by Stan Williams in Georgia, who told Starr, “This guitar looks like it's been sitting outside in a barn since 1964. And I don't know how the dude was able to get a bird to shit inside that f-hole.”
