Chris Buck
Chris Buck's Guitars
In the YouTube video titled "Artist Insight | Chris Buck," produced by Yamaha Guitars, Chris Buck discusses his influential early experiences with music and showcases his use of the Yamaha Revstar RS502T BGR electric guitar.
"This is a @yamahaguitardevelopment #Revstar 720B that you may have seen in some of the Facebook live videos from this tour. Beautiful to play and sounds incredible - it weighs a bit, but it sustains for days (much like an old SG1000 that I have) and has taken everything in its stride, from a nightly pummelling to vast humidity and temperature changes across a country both dry and arid, to wet and humid!"
"Right now I’m split between two main guitars. One is a Strat. I was a Les Paul guy for years, and then I kind of rediscovered the Strat more recently and I’ve found my own voice a little more on it. Before, I always felt there was some element in the back of my mind of feeling as though I was a poor imitation of Slash. But I think as soon as I stepped over to a Strat, that helped me find my own voice."
"The Tele is a 2012 #MJT - a joint 21st Birthday present from my parents and better half. Great, solidly built 'beater' that you don't have to be too precious about. "
In this YouTube video, this clearly states both in the description and thumbnail, that this particular Custom Yamaha RS502 is from Chris Buck.
When he was asked for the details in the comments he wrote that's it's a 1990 Squier Silver Series.
"For this recording, I was plugged directly into an iMac, using Guitar Rig 4 for convenience. My Blackstar was killing the neighbours.. For the looping on Bold as Love, I used a Boss RC-2 and for the overdrive at the end and a Zombie Klone made by London-based company Fredric Effects. Also, a JM signature series Strat fitted with Radioshop Pickups (check them out!)"
