Chris Lowe's Studio Equipment
Chris is using a Roland A-50 MIDI keyboard in this video; it can be seen at 0:34.
Chris also played A-50 live all the way during the Discovery tour, therefore it should possibly be moved to the Keyboards/Synths section.
E-Mu Proteus 1 is included in the list of synths/samplers used by Pet Shop Boys.
In response to a September 2003 question on the official PSB website, Chris cited the "Roland TG33" as a common source for string synth sounds on PSB recordings. Yet I haven't been able to find any other references online to a "TG33" synth by Roland. There is, however, a Yamaha TG33. Chris may simply have confused the synth manufacturers.
"Chris started this one off at home — he’s got an Apple PowerBook with Logic, a Roland SC88, and a PC200 keyboard, which he uses to write at home. He wrote most of the basic track, and then Neil massaged the basic structure idea into full song format, so that he could fit his lyrics in."
Chris Lowe used the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61 during the Pet Shop Boys' Super Tour, as shown in the YouTube video by endorphonic titled "Pet Shop Boys - The Enigma/Vocal (Chris Lowe solo version)."

You know the classic 'there she sits all alone, waiting for a ring on the telephone' kind of love song? It's a contemporary version of that, waiting for, when you do your e-mail, the beloved name to crop up. We recorded my old iMac connecting to the Internet
In the YouTube video for Pet Shop Boys' song "Flamboyant," Chris Lowe is seen using an Apple MacBook Pro.
Lowe plays a Korg Triton, which runs a Mac-based patch change system with two Virus Access rackmount modules. All the keyboard patches are submixed through a Yamaha 01V.
