Cindy Cashdollar's Gear
Cindy Cashdollar says she loves this amp because "the fat 'punch' and the warmth of it, and the 15” speaker makes a huge difference for the lows and mids. It’s like there’s more headroom for all the EQ the lap steels and non-pedal steels need and benefit from in a tube amp"
Cindy Cashdollar says her father bought her a Dobro model 27 as one of her first guitars.
Cindy plays a tune on this green Lap King Rodeo, which is confirmed in this article on Fretboard Journal.
In this interview, Cindy Cashdollar explains how she plays a 1955 Fender Stringmaster Double 8, among other non-pedal steel guitars.
Stringmaster Double 8 made its appearance in 2021 Premier Guitar rig rundown:
For the Grand Ole Opry gig, Cashdollar was playing a SteelMaster D8 doubleneck lap steel with eight strings on each neck, one tuned to E13 and one tuned to C6. This steel was built by well-known steel guitarist Herb Remington, revered for his work with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys band from 1946 to 1949 (he also composed the popular instrumental “Remington Ride”).
Cindy Cashdollar has at least one National Resophonic guitar. In this video she walks through a baritone tricone, which she has tuned to open D.
At about 11:57 in this audio interview, Cindy Cashdollar explains that the Asher Electro Hawaiian is one of her go-to guitars for taking on the road.
Cindy Cashdollar uses the Origin Effects SlideRIG compressor pedal, as shown in the user-uploaded photo. Feel free to add details if you can identify any other pedals in the setup.
According to 2021 Premier Guitar rig rundown:
Cashdollar uses a John Pearse slide bar (3 1/4” Thermo-Cryonic Tone Bar), and thumbpicks, as well as Acri Picks fingerpicks.
According to 2021 Premier Guitar rig rundown:
Cashdollar has several bigger pedalboards, but for this Opry gig she went with a small travel board. It starts with a Durham Electronics Sex Drive clean boost running into a Telonics FP-100 Multi-Taper volume pedal, which feeds an Electro-Harmonix EHX-2020 tuner and her amp. A Boss DD-3 Digital Delay lives on the board but runs through the amp’s effects loop. A Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus powers it all.
