Cory Wong's Amplifiers
In this video interview from Guitarist, Cory Wong discusses his philosophy on amps.
There’s a lot of amps that I really like, but the ones that I like the most are the ones that just kind of get me to my sound; a big fat clean sound. Something that sounds in you face and punchy. And I can get there from a JC120, or a Fender Twin, or like the DV Mark Raw Dawg I’ve been using a lot lately. So I’m not a tube amp snob. I’m not a digital snob. It’s just like whatever kind of gets me to my sound, I’m going to find a way to get there.
At 20:39 we can see the Dumble Amp, whith the setting he use. He brought it in San Francisco.
We can see a jc40 all along the show in the back of Cory.
As far as amps in the studio, all I really ever use now is a Kemper [Profiler]. I use one of the M. Britt profiles. I use his 70 Marshall SL2 profile. I just turn the gain down to almost zero and it sounds awesome.
Cory explains at 9:30 that while he uses his Kemper for recording, the profiles are either of a Vibroverb or Super Reverb.

The attached video is a tour vlog and rig rundown of Cory Wong's set up with his band, Cory and the Wongnotes. At 6:05, Cory shares that he uses a pair of Markbass 4x10 cabs. Based on the video, I could differentiate these as the 104HF cabs, rather than Markbass' 104HR cabs.
At 21:42, Cory states that for that tour he landed on the DV Mark Eric Gales signature Raw Dawg, which can also be seen in the video. Cory runs two of these on the same settings as a true stereo rig into two separate cabs. He also says that his are a custom tweak job with a modified EQ on them.
I'm pretty sure that he has used them for quite some time, since a DV Mark amp can also be seen in the First Avenue show in November 2019.
Cory Wong, the guitarist, has confirmed his use of the Laney Lionheart L20T-212 20-Watt 2x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp during a tour, describing it as a "nice really clean amp" with "a lot of clean headroom."
