Greg Edwards' Gear
Found next to Greg Edwards' Jam Man looper and underneath his Fuzz Factory, we can see his use of an Eventide TimeFactor delay pedal. Originally brought into his rig after the release of Future Perfect as a replacement for his Line 6 Echo Pro rackmounted delay unit.
Seen on the very bottom left of the pedalboard, we can see Greg Edwards using a Moog Moogerfooger Ring Mod. It is specifically the one of the very bottom left because of it's distinctive knob and switch placement. He's used the pedal since the very early days of the band, but it's unknown where it's used (the outro to Sugarless is one guess).
Found in the bottom left corner next to the Moog Ring Mod, we can see Greg Edwards using a Moog FreqBox, denoted by the very specific knob and switch placement across the pedal. After the Transit Transit tours the whole band dismantled their rack systems and became fully reliant on pedals, thus Edwards got this as a replacement for his Sherman Filterbank, a longtime favourite of the band.
At the bottom of the pedalboard stuck between multiple expression pedals and his two Moogerfopger pedals, we can see Greg Edwards using an original Electro Harmonix POG unit. Added to his pedalboard sometime after the release of Transit Transit to replicate the sounds from that album without relying on rack units.
In this Instagram photo from the Pussy’s Dead tour, Greg’s setup is shown with the Sherman Filterbank 2 in a rack case on top of his Twin Reverb.

Used from (assuming) 1995 until 1997. Considering Greg Edwards had a Lexicon Vortex in his 90s Failure bass rig, one can only assume he was using the volume pedal as an expression pedal to morph between A/B on his vortex for some insane sounds heard during this tour. Most notably the segue to Stuck on You during these periods where you can hear some sort of "pitch-modulated-oscillation" similar to a DJ scratch. Also sometimes seen being used during the solo section of Saturday Savior and as-well as during the intros of some Sergeant Politeness performances from 1997.
Taken from an excerpt of a '97 issue of Bass Player Magazine. Lists the complete equipment of gear/pedals that Greg Edwards was using during the Fantastic Planet tour. One of the pedals mentioned is the Dunlop TS-1, ASFAK this pedal was only used on Segue 1 in conjunction with the EHX Big Muff for that giant stuttering bass sound, the only other song this pedal was used was on Saturday Savior, specifically during the solo section. Best heard of the June 1st and 9th performances of the song in 1997.
Throughout the music video for Undone, Greg can be seen playing a Chris Squire Rickenbacker which he borrowed from Paul D’Amour of Tool and Ministry
This was Greg and Ken’s main bass throughout the recording and touring for Fantastic Planet and Greg can be seen playing it in this video
In a photo taken during a Failure performance in 2022, Greg can be seen playing a black P Bass with presumably an Ebony fretboard
