This is an incredibly creative piece of gear that both the creative musician and skilled engineer need to have in their arsenal.

Incredible for sound design. Just like the Lowpass filter where I use the envelope amount, I do a similar thing with the freq box. I really like sticking this on a bus for drums to create a resonant spacing and turn the mix down very low. This is an incredibly creative piece of gear that both the creative musician and skilled engineer need to have in their arsenal.

Found in the bottom left corner next to the Moog Ring Mod, we can see Greg Edwards using a Moog FreqBox, denoted by the very specific knob and switch placement across the pedal. After the Transit Transit tours the whole band dismantled their rack systems and became fully reliant on pedals, thus Edwards got this as a replacement for his Sherman Filterbank, a longtime favourite of the band.
