"I just sold my Yamaha GX1 because i have a great remplacement with Arturia's CS-80V"
He can be seen performing with this guitar
"Even if I use all the modern bits and pieces, it’s nice that even at the core, you have this wild electronic beating heart going on. … Last week, I tried to write my Spider-Man [trailer] opus, and I’m stuck on it, and plug in a 40-year-old mini-Moog, and was going, ‘Oh, wow! This thing is living and breathing.’ It spits back at me. It’s great." (http://www.buzzfeed.com/adambvary/hans-zimmer-film-composer-inside-his-studio)
This article in FACT magazine details how Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch created the Bladerunner 2049 soundtrack:
"The CS-80 was part of a coterie of synths. They also used the u-he “wireless” modular plugin Zebra, as well as the company’s Diva softsynth, which was designed by Urs Heckmann based on Zimmer’s favorite Minimoog; Wallfisch was able to bring out a DSI Prophet-12 he hadn’t yet had the opportunity to use; a SoundToys Crystallizer granular synth altered compositions and then pieces were put through tape delays and covered in reverb before being processed again with the Crystallizer. “One of the things we talked about was the idea of ‘more human than human,’” Wallfisch says. “When you’re creating, you play a chord, and then all these machines take care of this extraordinary, strange, replicant-style advancement of something acoustic.”"
This image is of Hans' studio, and straight ahead in front of the chair you can see the LMK4+. At :30s of this video you can also see the LMK4+ to the right of Hans.
This video takes us on a walk through of some of THE DARK ZEBRA synth presets. In this accompanying article, directly from u-he, they write "A bank of over 400 presets, a collaboration between Hans Zimmer and Howard Scarr. Practically all Zebra sounds in the The Dark Knight as well as The Dark Knight Rises soundtracks are included, plus several more that didn’t quite fit into the scores. The pack also includes Hans' custom built update from a licensed Zebra2.x to the version you can see in this video, ZebraHZ. Several of the more recent patches make use of the extra features available in ZebraHZ."
Hans Zimmer has used this keyboard during a recording session.
At 5:12 in this video, Hans Zimmer talks about his use of his Moog Modulars in scoring The Dark Knight Rises.
A Sound On Sound article details Hans Zimmer's studio monitors as Quested VS210s, however by their appearance in his studio they are actually Quested VS2108s (original article from October 2011 here: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct11/articles/studio-sos-1011.htm)
"Absolutely BRILLIANT! These are beautiful sounds that will work great in my music. The Gregorian Men and Choir FX are really cool and unique."

In this YouTube Video, you can see in the first three seconds on the far right computer monitor screen, that Hans Zimmer uses Protools as one of, or his main, DAW source for orchestral composition for his MasterClass video. He uses his midi keyboard to demonstrate scales in his tutorial in the beginning part of the trailer, and shows his computer programs that he records with for his production creative process, including (r. Cubase, and l. Protools).
A video of Hans using zebra 2 in his studio to test a hardware keyboard controller called SEABOARD.
Zimmer uses FireWire-connected MOTU 828s in his studio. “The 828s actually work very well. They’ve come a long way from where they started,” he adds. At Media Ventures, he uses Apogees for audio conversion.
"...greeted us on our arrival and showed us the rooms in question, which were already kitted out with Cubase and Pro Tools computer systems, keyboards, bespoke touchscreen control surfaces and quad monitoring systems with modified Quested VS210 speakers for front L and R and Dynaudio BM5 MkII speakers for the rear L and R. Conversion to full 5.1 surround is apparently handled at a later stage in the production process."
Hans Zimmer's massive System 100m, as described by Kevin Lightner. "It features 58 VCOs, 37 VCFs, 32 ENVs, 12 VC Phase shifters, 9 Sequencers, 1 Remote controlled 4-space rack-mount power supply (25' away.), and 24 Trunk lines go to his large Moog synth across the room. The unit can link the "Keyboard" inputs for all the modules, and with this feature, all VCO's can track one input with only one patch cord. The unit was built into 6 flight cases on casters with removable front and rear covers, then later encased in wood and built into his studio."
From a Sound On Sound article, the Waldorf Microwave XT Synthesizer can be seen in Zimmer's large rack of synths in his studio (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct02/articles/hanszimmer.asp).
When Hans Zimmer was filmed during an interview about his work on video games in 2016, the second-generation Quested VS2108 powered studio monitors ("Blue Logo (2nd)", "Red/Pink Log" (1st)") were situated in his recording studio.

After the recordings had been edited, instruments were programmed for Hans' sampler of choice at the time, Roland's S760, which wasn't a bad option, considering that each unit took only 1U of rack space and Hans needed over 30 of them to play back the orchestra.

This photo by Trey Ratcliff of Hans Zimmer's studio shows 10 Digidesign 192 Digital I/O in the rack. It's the older Digidesign IO, because of the whit-ish colour. The newer version "Avid" has dark grey colour.
