Hiroto Wakai's Gear

In a Twitter video, Hiroto Wakai can be seen using a Castedosa Marianna Standard guitar. The specific guitar he plays is identifiable as the one previously sold on kurosawagakki.com (https://shop.kurosawagakki.com/items/2833591), due to the unique wear and grain pattern that matches exactly with the guitar seen in other videos, notably at the beginning of the "Carrying Happiness, Tokyo Disney Resort Version." Each Castedosa guitar is uniquely aged and spec'd, and given the matching specs, color, and that it was sold in Japan, this confirms the guitar used by Hiroto Wakai. The model he's playing has the selector switch on the lower bout, close to the knobs, as opposed to the one in the Reverb picture, but it's just a variation of the same model.

In the video titled "Mrs. GREEN APPLE presents『CEREMONY』," Hiroto Wakai is seen at 1:50 using a Surf Green Divided by 13 FTR 37 amplifier head with a matching cabinet. The specific model is identifiable by the size of the head, an extra full/half switch, four knobs dedicated to reverb and the tone stack, two vertical input jacks per channel, and additional knobs to the right of the jacks, indicating a second channel, which is a unique layout to the FTR 37.

In the video titled "Mrs. GREEN APPLE presents『CEREMONY』," Hiroto Wakai can be seen using a Gibson Les Paul Standard at 1:55. The wear on the pickups at 1:55, along with the neck wear seen at 0:36, make me think it's at least a base Custom Shop model rather than a standard USA model. The evenness of the finish fading on its top and general high gloss lead me to believe that it's not a vintage Les Paul.

In this video, you can see Hiroto Wakai using a Gibson ES-335, likely a late 60's in Sparkling Burgundy. It has all the hallmarks of an ES-335 of that period, including the block inlays, trapeze tailpiece, nylon saddles, black witch hat knobs, and the rare custom color "Sparkling Burgundy" finish, which tends to fade into more of a bronze-gold color over time. You can tell in the video that his finish is not actually a natural/transparent finish, it's opaque. Every finish fades differently, depending on the conditions and elements it was exposed to, and it's hard to see exactly what color it is, due to the filter on the video and the varying lighting in each shot. Despite that, I'm still almost positive it's Sparkling Burgundy.

At 5:11, you can see Hiroto Wakai using a black Fender Stratocaster that he's also used in other sessions. The defining features of it are the vintage-style tremolo, kluson-style tuners, tortoise shell pickguard with modern screw arrangement, a rail pickup of some sort, and a 22 fret maple neck. It's essentially a vintage-style strat, but with 22 frets, which leads me to believe that it's a modified Fender Japan ST57-22TX. This model has 22 frets, along with the modern pickguard screw arrangement, but also has vintage appointments (the tuners and tremolo).

(Page gave 404, so I thought it didn't go through and submitted it again/accidentally submitted twice. Changed the specific model on the duplicate to be more accurate, so this one should be deleted).

At 4:24, you can see the Fender Custom Shop logo and a heavily flamed neck. At 4:25, you can see Hiroto Wakai playing an aged Olympic White Stratocaster with tortoiseshell pickguard and the vintage pickguard screw arrangement. It has vintage-style tuners, tremolo, and 21 frets, so it's likely a 1960-1962 Custom Shop Stratocaster. Because there's basically no wear, I would guess it's either an NOS or Closet Classic.
